IMC, please do something about healerless dungeons

Sitting down at a camp fire every few pulls is not an enjoyable experience and makes the dungeon take 3x longer to complete. And that’s if people didn’t bail the moment they saw there was no healer… HP pot chugging isnt even a great alternative cause they are so few right now (decent ones) that you are paying through the teeth and using like 20+ to finish the dungeon…

How IMC needs to do about this? Isn’t their fault something about 'Healerless" :joy:
You should try to wait tomorrow ou try at different hours to find Healer. That’s all. I finished all dg90 today 3 times (with token)

Out of curiosity, how long are you usually queuing for before the matcher puts you in a no-healer group?

Is the wait time different than when you get put into a group with a healer?

(The more I read replies of this nature from people on this forum the more I get the feeling that for a large portion of the population this is the first MMO they’ve ever played)

No, about the same regardless of group comp. 1-2 minutes.

Hmm… that’s kind of weird then… suggests maybe it’s just putting together the first group of 5 that it can?

Usually if there aren’t enough of a specific role in other games, the queue times just get long because it’s trying to find a player of the specific class…

It is. And I don’t mind queue times on other games because it at least makes a balanced group. Having a 4-5 minute queue timer instead of 1-2 minutes is better than spending 40 minutes in a dungeon instead of 15-20. You lose more time with the latter every single time.

Man, u gotta be kidding.

I’m a Healer, so thats not a problem that affects me. Acctualy, I use to always have a party with one more healer, whats not that good too.
Plenty friends of mine complain about this healerless party when match making, whats really weird cuz thats basic stuff in any other mmo.

None of my runs today had healers HAHA, and it was absolute hell. I lack DPS as a C2 Linker and with my long cooldowns, I basically felt useless half the time as everyone was busy dying and whatnot. Never got to final boss either, aw yeah. In one of the runs, someone said their friend got 2 healers while they were running at the same time as us.

Would love if the dungeon matching at least did a 1 of every class pairing thing, then there’d be a higher chance of landing a healer in every group. I’ve gotten groups with 3 linkers and 3 krivises, it’s very awkward and weird. especially when we have limited dungeon runs.

i kind of agree with what OP is telling

a party with no cleric = longer dungeon run

i had a run 8 hrs ago i think we got no healer only 3 mage 1 semi tank and me an archer

the semi tank quit because there’s no healer so it took us all the time to get to the 2nd boss (lv 130 dungeon) because the mage mobs are killing us even the physical mobs because we got no healer and im the lurer (im an archer ffs)

I play a healer class so I had never realized it was such a big problem for the other classes :confused:

Hopefully it gets addressed and fixed soon.

Coming from an MMO that had healers/tanks have <5 min queues and DPS having 15-20m queues (just because they’re that common), I can almost guarantee if IMC decide to implement the trinity in this game you will get one of the following complaints a week later:

  1. “IMC, pls fix dungeon queues… I’m a dps and it’s taking me forever to find a group pls fix”
  2. “IMC, pls let us report dps clerics who queue as healers who actually can’t heal”

btw if you queue with party (like 2or 3 members watever) …
u’re the only one that will get in the dungeon… >_>

the job system in this game is quite complicated so i guess that’s why the queue system is also complicated for having at least 1 healer in team lol…
what if the cleric didnt learn heal ? A_A (okay i guess that wont happen)

@vszalek @daniel_eckhart Really… Searching queue is a problem right now… I never get trouble searching queue and found a good party with healer.
The one I was creating my own party to go dungeon, the second and third are for searching queue. After this read, i won’t do searching queue dg anymore :kissing:

This game is different from most MMOs, because of the circle system. Essentially everyone who is a cleric can provide some form of heal, even if they are a dps build. Having at least some form of heal (like if the queue system specifically looked for the cleric class) it would be infinitely better than having no healing whatsoever. Also, the fact that there are only 4 base classes in this game means that even if they forced cleric to be queued into all groups it’s unlikely to add significant queue time since there are far greater number of clerics in the game as opposed to healer classes in a game that has a far greater number of base classes to choose from.

I would’ve been fine with a typical WoW queue (my Rogue usually waits around 15 or so minutes for a random heroic), if it meant I didn’t end up in a situation similar to what I had last night. 5 barbarians (im not kidding, it queued 5 barbarians) 2 of them left right off the bat, the other 3 of us tried our best but ultimately couldn’t get to the boss (after spending an hour trying). A waste of 1 of my 3 dungeon runs (thank god I didn’t have an exp scroll on from a previous run or that would’ve gone to waste also).

there are only 4 base class in ToS

and as long as it has a cleric im sure that he has a heal

if we do a role type matchmaking
1 of each base class and 1 random class is good

the game healing mechanics is % hp + raw hp instead of just raw hp heal like hp potions so cleric is really in demand in dungeon

Uh… that’s probably too restrictive a requirement:

The post talks about matching skill which doesn’t really apply for ToS (but I guess it would for 5v5 pvp matchs), but if you want matching for 4 out of 5 positions for a given class you are adding a significant amount of matchmaking time unfortunately :frowning:

It probably wouldn’t add too much matchmaking time to just require every party have at least a healer though so that would be reasonable…

Then Clerics get preferable treatment. Not fair. Honestly, I think if you want a balanced party, you should have to make one or join one. You already get bonus exp for doing in solo, do you really need ideal party composition as well?

In this game it will be faster for dps becouse its 5 man party and not 4. So 1 healer ,1 tank , 3 dps.dps will be the longest but at last you can do the run.
If you have no healer and you play mage or archer or a not full on tank you will get killed lots.the boss will kill you 3-10 time alone.
