IMC, Now is the time to over-achieve

With the new patch available on kTest, and your projection of iTOS getting the content in summer, now is the opportunity to over-achieve and get us the content sooner rather than later.

The sooner we get it, the more interested the player base will be, the more players you will have!

Deliver late Spring, and make all of us happy! We are looking forward to the update.

They can’t even implement a map fix, and manage to completely break dungeon entries with the implementation of their event dungeon. The event dungeon is nice, but why is it that IMC is incapable of implementing a single patch every week during maintenance without breaking something else?

And you want them to push FORWARD the time-table for such an ambitious mechanics overhaul? Get outta here.

You are damn right I do. The correct way to run a business is to under-expect, and over-achieve. Now they have an opportunity to do just that, and get some good will from the community.

Or you could be happy with the status-quo, but I am not.

Call me crazy, but I’d rather they get their hands on the reins with Quality Control before they try to implement something that’s going to introduce another 500 bugs.

What you’re asking is that they push in a patch that may create such a mess, as evidenced by their basic inability to introduce standalone content that doesn’t also somehow break completely unrelated things, that the game may very well become unplayable. No, I don’t mean “wow the way this game plays is awful, unplayable,” I mean literally unable to connect to the game without immediately crashing, unplayable.

You are asking for a lot from a company that has a terrible track record of making seamless updates. I would dare say Summer may even be too soon. Can they really get their product under control before then?

Do they even do that? :joy_cat:

Jokes aside, I totally agree. I prefer to wait rather than have an unplayable game.

If we wait for them to QC then we will be still hoping for the update in Fall and the player average will be down to 2k.

IMC already sent the in game mail hyping up these changes, so now is the time to deliver, and do so quickly.

Agreed with Fatedgaming.
I know how things usually turn out when you got pushed before deadline, especially we all know IMC is only capable of underachieving.

No reason to rush it at all, not like the player base will increase drastically if they do it anyway.

It is good that people can test on the Ktest early, so that IMC still have time to tune things around before the actual release.

The players will also be able to collect more data from Ktest before deciding what he/she wants to do with their char’s rank/stat/skill distribution.

This is what could be solved by over achieving. lol

arent we losing players because vga error, constant dungeon bug, skill not working correctly. Quality over Quantiny.

right now player dungeon arent resetting, it RNG

I think we are losing players since there is no content to speak of, but hey at least a revamp of this caliber will get people re-interested in the game before rank 9 hits.

I’m fine with waiting a little longer to get a less buggy patch. This is still IMC we’re talking about.

Releasing a patch that breaks the game horribly is going to hurt them way more than waiting longer to release it will.

Please no. I want them to thoroughly test this patch before rushing to release it because players are impatient.

No @Remiri, the reason people are leaving is because they see that the game is a trainwreck of poor QC. I have played plenty of MMOs, private server or official, over the last 12 years, some of them for years at a time and I can tell you quite honestly that people will stick around with a game that is working great but hasn’t had content updates in a while.

Players leaving due to no content updates is a slow, steady drip. Maybe a loss of 20% of the population over the course of a year.

Players leaving due to terrible quality and using it as a compass for the future of the game leave quickly and in large numbers, deciding it best not to invest their time in something that very well may burst into flames within a month.

The loss of players we have experienced over the last year has been in large clusters and in spikes. Usually following some absolutely inexcusable bug coming through maintenance. I think it’s clear what the primary reason is for people leaving. Hint: It’s not lack of content. It’s a poor-quality product.

The point I’m trying to make is game updates should not be rushed. The MAJORITY of people, I can say from years of observation and censusing, would rather play a stagnant, but very polished game, than a constantly-updating product held together with bubble gum and happy thoughts.

work harder on this imc.

I don’t care anyway since I’m not playing anytime soon, even if they implement all those changes they promised, because the main issues are still not addressed, making the game just a “better repetitive daily exercise that’s going nowhere” with all the more neccessity to have +10 transcendence and “the right stats” for your Class/the right Classes since most debuffs/pseudo buffs will still be weak af after they applied the changes.

Monsters are still non-challenging HP sponges, Practonium still stupid RNG-locked, no bonus when playing together/guilding (except the 2nd Practonium cube recipe piece locked behind thousands of talts), content still locked behind daily limitations, still no viable level 270+ Hunting Ground gear to substitute until you get your freakin Practonium/ET gears,
Class balance still lagging behind (especially bad for the interesting Classes), no good gears aquirable from normal monsters, card system still annoying (55 cards to get one to 10*, not really effective aside from Glass Mole/Chapparition/the mdef card [forgot the name]), questing&grinding not effective in contrast to instanced dungeons, etc…

In the end, it sure would be a good thing if they bring the new changes faster, but I doubt it would help to save the game or grace, it will only slow down the “Blood Letting” of TOS [aka “The average is creeping down”] because there is ± nothing in this game without random limitations.
There are also the bugs that are getting more severe nowadays and are working hand in hand with the limitations to scare people away/frustate them till rage-quitting

If anything, now is the time for IMC to over-achieve by proving they can release a big patch without introducing big bugs that drive players away.
