Since IMC has ridiculous prices on Steam as well for their mediocre costumes, I fail to see how they’re different from Nexon cashgrabs.

The biggest differences I noticed:
Nexon Support - I contacted them and got a reply 3 years later. No joke.
IMC Support - Reply within 2 weeks, often faster.
Nexon (EU) Communication - Never saw any GM, never any communication with players.
IMC Communication - Weekly Q&A / game information, weekly patch notes, occasional dev blog, I see at least one GM post on forums every day except weekends
So yeah… IMC > Nexon.

Channel crashes - rarely had any.
Bots - every game. (although they stopped 3rd party program support a few months back)
Customer service - never had issues with them.
P2W - ofc it’s Nexon
Lack of communication - never really had issues there either.
Gamebreakign bugs - aside bugs that were hotfixed on next week maints, literally none.
Overhauls - thank god for overhauls. It changed from the restricted ■■■■ it used to be.
Obsolete old content - old game yet they still update it from time to time.
Worst publisher - I could name a few that go alongside Nexon.
Don’t forget, Mabi is a 2004 year release and you compare it to 2015 releases that have more problems in a period of 3 months time than the 2004 ones throughout the years.
It’s like gaming technology is going backwards.
NexonEU was always and still is dead. Since EU players tend to be less retarded and be fooled to fall for their cashgrab. I honestly wonder why Nexon global is keeping the EU platform at all.
I still think Nexon would offer much better stability than current IMC state.
But why go with Nexon when you have better options for publishers? Why is everyone fixated on Nexon? lol

They kept EuMS alive for such long time. Now they are merging platforms. Probably dropping the EU support branch since it won’t be needed anymore.

I say quit, w8 a year then come back if the game is still around. It’ll probably have some more content by then, class balance and other **** people want.
Kind of feel bad for buying the pack but hey… not the 1st game to fool me.

I’m not sure how the contracting works. But like you said, most problems are on the dev side. Most everything would remain the same, except there would be a bigger push for monetized options, and limitations on user and developer input.
I say keep it free, if we really need a publisher so be it. But, that won’t solve the problem.
I would take mediocre or hideous costumes over gacha / stats on costumes
Because the topic was if we are happy that we have IMC as publisher instead of Aeria and Nexon. And my answer to that is yes.
Doesn’t mean I won’t be even more happy with an actually good publisher. Which publishers are good anyway? Blizzard? SquareEnix? Whoever hosts League of Legends?
Oh hell no. You didn’t just say nexon games actually work did you? Tell that to the dungeon fighter fans out there. Nexon screwed up so bad with that game it was unreal. They NEVER had a working or even remotely updated game when they ran it. It got so bad during the DFO fiasco that they fired the ceo and flew a guy in from japan to handle cleanup on it. DFO is back and self published in the same way this game is and the game is so much better now than it was with nexon you can’t even really compare the two.
Installed mabinogi on my laptop because my daughter wanted to play it. I won’t tell her she can’t play the game just because it’s a nexon deal so I install this damned game and then the laptop won’t work again. I literally just got done loading a fresh copy of windows into it and updating it and it was running perfectly for all of a day. Install crapinogi and now the system won’t run again after restarting it. Nexon games… I can’t even come up with enough bad things to say about that company. Every experience with them has been a painful one.
Hey let’s talk about their best known title even how about maple story. A friend of mine I used to play another game with his girl used to play maple. She got her account hacked and lost hundreds of dollars worth of stuff. Think nexon gave a damn? The answer is no no they did not.
How about all the DFO accounts that got hacked because they wanted you to like the dfo page on facebook and also used your real name and date of birth as security for password resets. So now the dfo facebook page is literally a neatly compiled list of everyone who plays along with personal details like their real name and birth date along with their primary email. Now all the people hacking accounts need to do is break into the email and the account is theirs. Thousands of accounts swiped in just a couple of weeks because of that.
Nexon. The list of incompetence and horror stories goes on forever man.

Hahaha get out publisher shill. IMC have their issues but they’re actually getting stuff done, I’d drop this game in a heartbeat if it went to a publisher.

If IMC required steam accounts to actually have games and money(say 10-15 dollars) invested into them to be able to play ToS we might not even see a whole lot of bots running around. That method isn’t directly b2p but it would help everyone else that plays ToS.
Think about it, who doesn’t have money invested into an account these days, and what bot owner would want to keep spending money only to get banned? I realize that free to play is the main deal for this game, but I feel it would be better for tree of savior’s health in the long run.

What’s even funnier is since the most recent update two weeks ago Maplestory had been having constant maintenance to fix all the bugs introduced. They even wrote an apology for all the bugs and compensating the playerbase with 24hr extended to their NX items and extending the 2xp/2xdrop this weekend. Ironically the game server just crashed again this morning during 2x event and finished after 2x already ended.
Dragon Nest had also been neglected with a content drought especially when it’s summer and they should be doing their best to draw back the playerbase yet their incompetence is killing the game even more. It’s so bad that they had 2 log in events going on at the same time back to back 2 months in a row. Even now they’re currently handing out 1 free gach/dragon egg a day for logging in. Can’t forget they also let go of two GM’s within the past few months and the currently active GM isn’t even responding to the Dragon Nest forums yet he’s actively responding in the Vindictus forums.
Nexon NA is a disaster man.

Yeah they still do. $3 per try for Royal Hair Style/Royal Face coupon with a weekly rotation. I’ve witness a person spending $60 trying to get a certain hair and failed miserably.
