I appreciate the effort you (IMC) been putting into the ‘Project R1’ to make a new and unique MMO game that no one done it before.

Even though IMC is a korean game company, they made an English blog to keep us updated since the day of development. Not many korea games did that. It proved that you care alot about the community and your fans, you promised to bring ToS to global as soon as possible.
The community has been building up ever since.

Do you remember how Tree of Savior got Greenlit in less than 10 hours on Steam? It’s the Community

Do you remember who help your english translation on Github? It’s the Community.

Do you remember how you got the 2nd place on ‘Player Choice Award’ and 1st place in most Anticipated Game? It’s the COMMUNITY.

Together, we could do anything that never done by anyone before. Yes, but only if ‘together’.

But now, it’s seem that you no longer need us. You are now the boss, you can do anything you want.

Time heal, but the scar will stay. It’s not too late to change your mind IMC.
We can still work this out, we can be together again.

Amen.

P2p players alone will not make this game run. Ditch 60% of your community like this and the game is over.

Everyone’s done their part. Making videos, spreading the word, streaming, reporting bugs when the website was so unstable that it took you 30 minutes to finally post a bug, translations, all the fan communities.

Shame is not a strong enough word, for what you should feel, IMC.

It’s hard to know if those founder’s packs are a sign of distrust towards the fanbase or a sign of greed. I do agree that this early access is shady and stabbed the trusting fans in the back but the deal is good. 600 TP = $45, you get pretty much name reservation cause there will be less people, you get to play 3 months ahead and IF the company’s choise was good-hearted and really was to allow players to play with a minimum of bots and gold sellers for 3 months and reward those who support the game financially, than you get to support that company. I feel kinda bad for doing this but I will buy the pack if nothing changes anyway.

I feel that IMC has no choice in the matter. In the background, they needed to make this decision, or else there wouldn’t be any ToS anymore.

unluckily if they don’t start communicating properly with the playerbase there won’t be any more ToS anyway

Doubtful.

If they just opened the game along with a cash shop, people would buy and still support. There’s absolutely no difference. Spend those 50 bucks in the shop.

There’s no reason to run it like this and piss off majority of the playerbase, lol.

If they need money, they can make a honest fund raising. With the right choice of price, they will get more than they expect without hurting the trust of fan base.

Im certain that IMC would also like to feed themselves from your existance, but that is not how it works.

Well I always thought they did some stuff that seems pretty weird but well this pretty much killed iToS for me.
But no one to play with in the KToS server :’(

many people asked for an early access even on this forum - use the search button

and really somebody finally explain to me how 3 months of early access is being called “hurting trust of the community” you are not loosing anything by this! you dont have to buy it! others will and gonna enjoy the game 3 months before you do - oh wait…you already enjoyed the game in closed beta before without spending a dime - nowadays alphas are offered as early access!!! people playing YEARS before others do…and you call it “hurting the community and their trust” by offering a 3 months headstart?

  • you dont wanna pay to have an early start - youre upset that you cant play while others do - okay okay - but what on earth got this to do with hurting trust?? we all know that a business needs money to run! its not shady its life! your mom and dad have to work - do they come home without a pay check? you cant expect everything to be free in this world.

I think you didn’t get the point.
They wouldn’t hurt the trust if they didnt announce OBT. If they announced the founder beta before everything else. Thing would went different way.

Can you post links/threads that actually indicated a huge number of people wanting it in the first place?

I do believe it has been posted over and over again in other posts that the early access was fine, The Price was fine, BUT THE EXECUTION WASN’T FINE.

Even if, the way they set up this founders event means, 50$ for a laggy server that will be empty after 3 months…

nope you didn get the point - you make a hassle out of this and go as deep as claiming “they hurt the communities trust” they didn hurt mine and those who buy the founders pack wont feel hurt either - its a little to much to call it that way

they wont be empty - they wont open new server as long as those who already opened wont reach their limit
