IMC deleted the announcement talking about the Open Beta

It is only the short end of the stick if you do not like lower population servers. Lower population servers typically have a much stronger sense of community. So if you like that, it could actually be the… long end of the stick?

That is also assuming that the Founder’s Server even will have a lower population, which at this point is only speculation.

Kappa face?

The announcements are both still there for me…

And you are trying really hard to make IMC look like a dishonest, greedy, deliberately evil corporation when all they did was announcing a OBT that didn’t fall through for various reaons.

Meanwhile completely discrediting all the hard work of developing first class game assets and BGM, providing good communication through dev blogs, timely forum announcements, friendly & helpful GMs in CBT, caring enough about game quality to decide to avoid partner publishes as much as possible, taking many polls for player prefences (text + forum design comes to mind), prior successful development of game titles without resorting to cash grab tactics.

It’s really up to you what you want to see and believe.

Looks like they removed the soon post since its no longer soon?

They have a date now.

What exactly would they have been covering up?

Then why did they wait until there was a huge forum backlash before they removed the post? You usually don’t remove announcements.

That’s true, I find it odd to remove announcements. Maybe to not confused new players?

Either way, there’s nothing to cover up here when the prices and dates are there.

And what about current players who have gotten absolutely no news about server merging, trading features or even cash shop features? They are asking people to pay $50.00 USD. There should be tons of information on what to expect. We’ve gotten very little information about iToS.

All very true, and I really hope they give us that info.

But that’s unrelated to the topic.

True. But like you said, it is odd to remove announcements. You usually have supplementary announcements to clarify. They are clearly trying to hide the fact that the Open Beta was even a thing.

Sigh

Why am I even still here?

I’m not even mad, to be honest. I’m just sad about the whole situation. There’s just 0 appreciation for the old beta testers, they are not even apologizing for not allowing us to play the game, giving no explanation for the shitty deal, they know it’s a shitty deal, everyone knows it’s a shitty deal and they should say something about it. MAYBE they need that money, maybe, but you don’t leave your players in the dark about it. I actually regret testing and reporting bugs now. It just all feels very ungrateful and greedy and just…[insert bad feeling here].

But they’re not though, there are dates for OBT/early access on the announcement post, with prices.

Sure a lot more things need to be clear, but there’s no hiding or back pedaling going on. All the info is out there, the soon is clarified with a date.

I will agree they are doing a very poor job of communication though. Which leads to things like this.

Problem is that this is not an open beta. It’s an early access. What they announced was an open beta, like a week ago and then they threw this ■■■■ at us.

edit, I meant iobt2 derp.

Yet they removed the post talking about the Open Beta which was coming “soon”. That’s very unusual, as I’ve said before. They purposefully waited until their was a backlash on the forums to hide (maybe?) the fact that Open Beta was even a thing before the Founder Server.

IMC needs to open a dialog with the player base and fast.

The announcement thread got re-opened up, but couldn’t even last 2 minutes before it got rekt’d by flags again.

On the non-funny side, they’re back on the forums now. Seeing as the sale is gonna be up soon, this is pretty much the last few hours before it’s too late for any revisions.

There is an OBT date, it’s Jun 19th. It’s clarified, the soon is now Jun 19th. People are too fixated on the early access date as well.

But yes, we do need more clarification on a lot of things.

It would’ve been okay, if the first announcement (without dates) was something along the lines of

“There will be an early access, followed by an obt on a later date that is still to be decided. We’ll keep you posted!”

Instead, it was just “obt coming soon” type of thing and that was it, no mention of early access.

Week later, boom. ■■■■ you, obt is in 3 months, but if you pay 50 bucks that we didn’t tell you about at all, you can play.

If they said like, 3 months ago “There’s a possibility of payed early access, before beta”. I’d be like “alright…I’ll save up some money that I can throw away later.”

Instead, they’re pulling these prices out of their asses in the last minute.

I think it was actually “we will discuss the details of IOBT soon”, wasn’t it?

I don’t remember what it was, but I certainly know that early access wasn’t mentioned, I would’ve spotted that.

Seriously they could’ve just turned the whole situation in their favor if they had said that they just needed players to invest $ in the game, adjusted the price, gave better rewards than 2 stupid lvl 1 monsters hats, Tokens (oh, my!What a surprise) and managed to establish a reasonable time for exclusive acess (Weeks, a month tops) but 3 MONTHS?
When they’ve just announced an OPEN BETA and then left the community in 20 days without any kind of information?

When the iCbt ended last year, in two weeks korea already had their server and the International community gets this? After 4 Months? Seriously?

Bad move, IMC, bad move
