Well how else could you buy those 7 million (or even more) equipment?
World boss camped by certain party so you have to buy materials from them, recipe drop rate from dungeon is pitiful, lots of good equipment recipe are untradeable (Saalus, Virtov) and you cant even fund your alt char because no silver transfer on the same account.
Im not supporting gold buyers but the crazy restriction from IMC doesnt make it any better.

Thanks captain obvious, but have you consider that some people could spend weeks doing dungeon and only got talt instead of equipment that they desire?
Are you for real? Of course every equipment is temporary. The current cap is 280 so people do whatever they can to gear themselves with best set available (Roxona, Virtov). ET are special case since not everyone have a suitable class build and team to accomplish it.
Using your logic we might as well not changing gear once rank 8 released since there will be lvl 500 anyway with ranked 10, buying rank 8 gear will be a waste of money once the rank 10 released.
No one give a shiet what ranked 8 equipment will be, everyone want to get the best equipment thats available in the present, once the better equipment released in the future people will try to upgrade their gear once again, thats how it works.

The amount of luck required to get anything half way decent truly is insane.
I have already thought about stopping to care and pick up some 10m to never see the dungeons again.
After more than 300 rushes for the 130 dungeon and over 100 for the 200 without getting anything at all the game really gets frustrating.
