IMC, About the channel reductions

IMC, i can understand that you sometimes have to redistribute channels for performance reasons or because player map usage shifts to other maps after an update.

But please, can you explain why you reduce the channels of some important maps, like Maven Abbey, Storage, Tenet Church, etc, while giving Saalus Convent 8(!!!) channels when only one channel (or two max) is really needed for that small npc-only map and other maps would desperately need those channels instead?

On Fedimian the Saalus Convent map has 8 channels but only the first one is being used by players, all the other 7 channels are wasted.

I don’t understand that decision… do you roll a D20 dice for each map and randomly decide which map gets so many channels, despite it not making any sense?

The popular grinding spots need more channel.
(Tenet, Amaleth, Demon prison, Maven abbey, etc)
Like Amaleth has a lot of ch now in fedi (i think its 7) thats great

But we do not need 8chanels in Saalus and Mec-mission. (fedi server)
everything beyond 2ch on those maps is wasted resources…

I’m not sure if all of these maps will receive one, but some of them like Tenet will receive a Hunting Ground on the next patch (or the after next patch).

That way, the people hunting will be able to leave the grinding spots alone since the drop rate in the normal maps that have the HG counterpart will be lowered.

That is also for the performance reason that it is lowered the number of channels.

Always feels strange being the only person in one of the 7 channels in Syla Forest @Fedimian. :joy:
I approve that the material grind channels got increased but 3 instead of 2 would have been sufficient on Fedimian.
@STAFF_Yuri Could you hand this to the devs please? I think it’s a waste that these maps have so many channels. 4 for popular ones (at the moment) like Emmet and Alembique. Others at most 3. But 7 on Fedi is complete wasted.
