I'm just not into economy

About free market, prices and stuff. For example, i have a Superior Flamberge +5 and a Jalia Kite Shield (MAGIC RESIST RULEZ) that i want to sell at market cause the NPC doesnt take into account how good the items are, but i’m not into it.

There’s the “check at what price does people seel it, put at the same price.” But then some guy can go and put it at the same lower price, -1000. And that can start a chain that can make the price go super low. And, when you see, for example for the shield, prices from 40K to 50K, what do u choose?

IF YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE. Who decides prices and all that stuff? Yea, supply and demand, the market regulates itself and etc. If you are not pro what can you do when trying to sell things, what do you have to learn and pay attention to? Tips T_T

If you want to sell it ASAP, sell yours for 39.9K. If most are closer to 50k, and only a few are around 40k, and you don’t need money ASAP, price yours closer to 50k. If the item was crafted by Daenerys Stormborn, Breaker of Chains… it will be in higher demand, so price it closer to 75k.

Just remember that buyers are always going to buy the cheapest, and sellers are always going to sell their item as the cheapest. So if you price an item as, say, as the 5th cheapest on the market, you are 5th in line for selling your item (or more since more sellers may put items on the market after you).

This is why i dont like AH. They kill the game economy and go into overinflation really fast ( At least with gear ). Perfect Information does not work on MMO were money is infinite.

Well, it’s a Beta with high rate, so the supply of goods will be higher and by the market logic the prices will be lower, you can try to sell your items with a higher price, but it will take time. Also you can drop an item that has no value to your character and you may want to sell it quickly, so you go with low price and this effect will always drag the prices down. But the price will be defined by its rarity and quality.

Yea, so for what you said, only take the other’s people price as info, and chose my price according to theirs and according to what i know (sell fast or with time… but i dont understand that “crafted by daenerys stormborn” wtf, all items should be equal no matter who crafted it), but there is supposed to be more info, how they went to that price etc. It’s ok to JUST check other’s people prices and put mine’s accordingly? Its like… i dont know a ■■■■ about economy, other’s people do the job and put prices and i follow (?)

Its actually the other way around, it forces people to lower prices not rise them(inflation is when money starts being worthless and prices rise btw, like RO’s market where a matyr card ended up costing around 20M or more lol).

When the seller puts his item in the market he will analyze its rarity and functionality. He will choose the highest price possible if he’s the only seller, able to even extrapolate, but when a second seller appears, he can compete using the First price or lower his offer, and this can go on eternally if it’s a really, really common item. So, if you are selling an item without competition, choose the price you like. If there is more of the item in the market, you can choose your price based on theirs, higher or lower.

I’m a day trader on stock market and this kind of thing is a very common thing. price of shares go down because people sell it down, price go up because people buy it up. there is nothing wrong with it. that’s how market works in general. it is the traders job to focus on his own goal, if your goal on selling it is to make money then sell it on a high price leave it there forget it. it doesn’t take space on your inventory anyway and not going take some carry on weight too.
