It honestly kill’s the game the main goal of a game is to expirement and have fun in ways that fit your play style so stop asking for feedback an see for yourself it’s almost like folks have to hold your hand <.< why have your hand held when you can be awesome in your own unique so do yourself a favor an just relax an be expeirmental that is all anyway a few more hour’s an i’ll bid you all happy hunting, also as well as the thing in the darksouls series are you prepared to die!? you’ll be wasting time if your seriously going to invest on the game and screw up along the way, and with the class system of ToS you will surely screw up. its best to get 2nd opinion.
its ok to screw up in CBT, its ok to mess around builds in a test server, since they are all temporary.
but when the game goes live you’ll be spending hours upon hours only to either buy a reset scroll if there is one or start up a proper new character from scratch. currently the max lvl is 200 but in data files it maybe you’ll have a max level of 600.
yes there are unique builds but not all of them are competent.
yes there are cookie cutter builds but you lose individuality and sometimes fun
and then i plan my wizard to only have c1 at all ranks
the real fun of games like this is to discover it by yourself. Those fanbases killed it already… so now we just have to run the world collecting things that we already know.
People tend to be lazy, so thats why the are looking for builds.

Not everyone is great at theory crafting and experimenting. Some people like to know what builds are good so they dont make useless character after useless character. If you like discovering you still can, you arent forced to look on fan sites.

It’s not that they need their hand held. It’s a way for them to talk about something while waiting for the game. If they enjoy it , let them discuss builds.

as long as they don’t want to be spoon-fed with complete builds i am fine with it, every time i have to think about the synergies in another ones build i might find something new or interesting.
only thing i really really hate are the ones that look at no info at all and just demand that someone else does their homework for them… ■■■■ those guys

only put 15 hours in the first beta and a good 3-4 was that was just sitting around talking, so I doubt I’ll even get to test rank 4-6 stuff tbh

To each their own. There’s no reason why we can’t have both kinds of people.
People ask for builds in every game. When you’re learning anything the best thing to do is copy others and slowly you will develop you’re own style. That’s with most crafts.
I would love it if they somehow make it job changing class system like ffxi where u can freely change to any classes along the line of your base to level em up individually and go back to the ones you want anytime. Since the Character level and Class level is different. Also can just make us shell out the dough on sp resetting o 3o
