If you could change TOS to how you want it to be, what would you do?

Res sacrae is even more extreme than grinding your ark to stage 10. To equip lvl 2 res sacrae gems, you already have to spend about 700 blessed gems + a few hundred million silvers iirc.
Now imagine, the res sacrae has 20 levels, and at certain stages the requirement takes a steep increase in material costs. That goes far beyond the costs of Arch Stones and Karaliene set (though Lucifieri crafting ist just insane, especially if you cannot beat Tell Harsha at higher difficulties because you lack the equipment).

The goddess and demon sets have okish costs with 1 Arch stone fragment per part (so 4 per set), but since they can be leveled, too, just like vaivoras, with multiples, it’s better to say that you need about 16 Arch stone fragments (so 1.6 Arch stones) to complete a single set of 4 pieces.

If I was the developer, I would’ve put Arch stone fragments somewhere as guaranteed rewards (for example as the 500 million total damage reward for WBR) if you need to get several fragments per week to be able to craft all the equipment before it becomes outdated.

It would honestly be a better idea to just focus on making Tree of savior 2 where they tie in appropriate uses for token and release all their forced holds on things like market values. And definitely revamp their gear progression and endgame gearing bc I could care less about big numbers when they sap sub 1% hp. Literally makes the most disappointing eye test you have ever experienced.

in contrary from business perspective thats actually dumb idea

developing new game, even though its recycling assets (which practically what they doing right now to the game like res sacrae dungeon, new gear same ■■■■ etc) still require kim to throw in big money for development, especially the development starting phase

a solid start is important for the game yet tos was not having a good start thus having no good base for steady development
and for small company like imc, good base is important otherwise they will only suffer from the development cycle let alone making profit

the game was actually ded long ago when they butchered many fun aspects of the game, of what makes it open world mmorpg, and turn it into dungeon base casino

i cant hold my laughter when i read their statement in ktos site that leticia cube is not p2w content rofl
should i slap them with lv 9 card boruta hahahaha

right now the only best option for kim is to milk tos until its very last spurt by keep the whales happy by cherish their meta build with love to keep em pay

What is TOS if not fashion persevering?

But really, where are those class-based costume (as in the old C3 costume) plan gone now? If not PvE nor PvP can be made enjoyable, at least sell what made them unique in a sense
This might be too late to say but now we are flooded with generic modern costumes that has no ties to the original aesthetic of the game. Dang.

gross that would screw people in small guilds

Also make it so all achievements are account bound
and and and omg remove tokens ffs

Yeah, just came here because I felt nostalgic about this game that had everything to be a great success.

If I could change some stuff ( beyond connection issues ) would be:

1- Stat points scaling: I think it shouldn’t be linear, RO had a good stats formula where if you have 90% of your points in strength, it would have a decent damage increase over someone with 80% of points in str. I think that a need for balancing your damage/health/precision with stats trying to be optimal for the tipe of content you do is a great aspect of RPG.

2- Combat pacing: I think is too slow. I remember when I had a Necromancer and my pet just took an eternity from my attack order to really hit the enemy. Same with enemy bosses, they have some trap like mechanic where you must move, but that’s all. You feel almost like a turn based game ( Maybe for this reason a TCP connection ? Lmao ). It don’t need to be an ARPG with frenetic combat, but could be much more dynamic.

Yeah. Everything about formula in RO, especially renewal is deep and simply product of good design.
There are soft and hard def, sensible logarithmic scaling about everything.

Even when casting spells, there are four different parameter that affect your speed (Variable and fixed cast time, cast delay and cooldown), which allows one to invest on multiple cost tier to make a great difference, but still could hit a ceiling to not break a game. Any future buff or nerf will not break a class.
