Ideas/Suggestions for C3 Taoist

I know it’s way too early to speak about rank 10 classes, but its fun to think about new skills and functions that could be added. I would like to see ideas not only from myself, but from others too. Please join in! :blush:

Since this will take up three ranks and is the very last rank in the game (maybe), the skills might need to be slightly stronger and have flexibility in mind.

So here are my ideas for C3 Rank 10 Taoist.

New attributes on skills that are not new.

Creeping Death Charm: Decreased Movement Speed - Creeping Death Charm moves 25% slower per attribute level. Max level 3.

Charm Usage - All skills that use sheets of Strange Yellow Paper will be reduced by 1 per attribute level. Max level 1.

This is all I can think of at the moment.


----------New Skills----------

Lightning Charm - Magic (Lightning)

Install a charm that calls down bolts of lightning on an enemy. The Zaibas skill is required to use this skill.

Overheat 2.

Charm Duration: 5s
Consumes 2 sheets of Strange Yellow Paper

CD: 30s
SP: ?

Max Level 5.

Notes: Each skill level increases duration of the charm by 5s.

----------Attributes:----------

Lightning Charm: Enhance - Increase the damage dealt to an enemy with [Lightning Charm] by 10% per attribute level. Max level is 1.

Lightning Charm: Slow - Targets hit by Lightning Charm are slowed by 25% for 2 seconds per attribute. Max level is 1.


Storm Shield

Place a powerful charm on your body. Call down a bolt of lightning on targets that are within the casters range. Every time a bolt strikes a target, sheets of Strange Yellow Paper will be consumed. If there are no sheets of Strange Yellow Paper in the casters inventory the skill does not function.

Attack: 100% every 0.5 seconds
Duration: 15s
AoE: 10
Consumes 1 sheet of Strange Yellow Paper

CD: 15s
SP: ?

Max Level 5.

Notes: - Each skill level increases damage by 10% and AoE range by 5.

----------Attributes----------

Storm Shield: Splash - Adds 1 extra target that can be struck with a bolt of lightning without consuming another sheet of Strange Yellow Paper per attribute level. Max level is 5.

Storm Shield: Lightning Chain - Three bolts of lightning can be struck on each enemy before consuming a sheet of Strange Yellow Paper. Max level 1.

Example: 5 enemies were struck by 5 bolts of lightning. Only one sheet of Strange Yellow Paper was consumed. If the attribute was not unlocked then it would have used 5 sheets of paper if all 5 enemies were in the AoE.

I’d love existing Taoist skills to get the usual +(0.5%*attrlevel)% damage attributes, like any other damage skill.

Also, i think Divine Punishment should get an attribute at C3 that makes it deal splash damage.

Creeping Death Charm could need an attribute that makes the charms stop moving.

Taoist 3 could also use an attribute that makes the charms not disappear immediately when they are triggered used up but stay without effect for another 10 seconds or so or until exploded with Begone Demon, similar to Pyromancers Fireball. That way Taoists could make Creeping Death Charm have to all hits and then, after all hits are done, still use it for a final explosion with Begone Demon.

Storm Calling could use a Damage-over-time-effect, like Sages Ultimate Dimension After-Effect attributes, or have lightning strikes happen on targets in the area for the duration of the skill.

I think a Taoist which could throw papers all directions would be fine.

An awesome skill that it should have is a more support role as the symbol of the class represent this intention. Maybe a “yin yang” skill that steal the boss HP to the party on some way. That would be pretty interesting

I’m liking all these ideas! And the throwing papers in all directions would be great! They could be like creeping death charm! That would be chaotic! xD Would have an overheat of two on it because it would look awesome x_x. Not sure on how much paper is used up though…ouch to pockets :laughing:

Maybe an attribute or skill that synergize with Bokors to summon them.

That would be great! have any idea on how it would function? You summon the zombie which is nice, but is there anything special like if they bite within the charms effect they get a damage boost?

This idea helped me come up with another skill.

A charm that if placed over a skill will increase the hits or duration of said skill? maybe something like duration +5 and 5 extra hits?

Or a charm skill that depending on how many charms you have out increase charm damage?

Why all skills related to the element “Lightning”? I wish there was other skills with other elements like Fire or Water.

I was thinking of different effects like, have the Jiangshis self heal/life steal each time they attacked which would benefit SPR Bokor or having them leave a charm whenever they die(including from Damballa) which you could detonate.

@therhay because it’s an idea or suggestion. I like lightning skills, so I made skills based on that.

Wait… I’m starting to see why you are saying that. There are already two lightning skills you get from the class already. So adding a fire and ice skill would fit perfect with this class because…

I thought up another idea. Taoists own weapon, which would make sense. OR! make it like a stance skill that shows them like this…

Maybe benefits the class with damage, skill changes, overheat increases, elemental skill changes, or other properties that only focus on that classes specialty?
