I like your post but I don’t agree on Buff Potions, they could literally kill some classes expecially Priest, same thing for auto-revival item because Priest has a ressurrection skill…
Its obviously “pay to revive fast to win” potion imo…
that make revive spell less usefull if someone just buy the pot out of the cash shop item
we just need cosmetic items like doto or any items that doesnt affect our stat or buff in the game
Sell skins up to like $2000 USD.
Hey, it worked for CS:GO.
I dont like the idea of renting anything. It just feels crap to me. u_u
With any stat boost potions, i think its ok as long as the same type of potion is available in game. That way the only advantage to buying them for cash is to save time or ingame money but you dont get a stat boost over non-cash players.
I think the main cash tradeoff should be saving time or saving ingame money. Not giving cash players a boost over non-cash.
With exp boosting, that should also be available to non-cash players, but by time consuming or ingame money consuming means.
The only place I think having exclusive cash only items, is cosmetics. And even those should be handled carefully. ie, no wings! XD
Bag slots is ok, barrack slots ok… Stat reset i’m not sure how I feel. I think there should be minimal ways to correct mistakes or to try skilla and then unchoose if they wernt what you expected but only very limited. This is only a personal prefrence though and I think it should be equally available to all not just cash. Instant revives is another thing I’m not sure about, I think this would be a big advantage in boss encounters. So if it’s something that IMC want in the game, i think they should also be available to all, but maybe cash will save you time and effort over in-game ways to get them.
Well pay to instantly revive is a trend in korean MMOs nowadays and personally I don’t see it as a problem since non-cash players can be revived by priests or revive scrolls.
I’m fine with exp/gold/drop rate pots as well, just don’t make them boost so much or easily spammable.
Stats/skills reset are fine too, only say no to classes/ranks reset
As for cosmetics, head/face/outfit/weap/sub-weap/armband with no stats are good. Wings look ridiculous and I don’t ever wanna see them ingame
. Beauty coupon, costume dyes, more pets/pet skins are also good.
Things like bag/storage/barrack slots, name change are fine too.
hmm for me i think the closest thing to not support pay to win cash shop item is:
-cosmetic! (rentals that are “cheap” for X amount of days, that way we can pay more for permanent costume that we want, rentals are just a way for fitting it to our chara…)
-potions( that dosnt exceed the highest brew potions made by chemist. this can be for people who want to buy pots instantly without going to town and buy them, cause u have to start from the begining of map to dungeon… prity tiersome)
-VIPs (additional % exp boost w/ less death penalty and no stat boost ,can be monthly/weekly/1 day. can be purchased ingame… like a card cosumable) <- i prefered this cause u only get aditional exp boost with less exp loss in death. this realy help those who grind/boss hunt and get wooped by mobs XD
hmm with the idea of items to instantly revive u… i think… there should be a time limit of 10 minits after use of the item, buffs remove(including permanent buffs), gear/weapon durability massive reductions and 15% HP/SP/MP remaining… hows that? XD
I’ve been thinking about this.
Let’s delete those buff items, but change the concept of revival item.
If I remember, there are chances that players will drop some items from their bag if they died.
Edit : @Kiyoshiro mentioned that the items that I meant earlier are only gems.
Then we change that revival item effect to an effect where players won’t drop anything from their bag if they died and the exp penalty will be reduced by 50%. How’s that?
Good enough. Because it doesn’t affect direct competition.
And item dropping when dying is a news for me, a great one. Death usually isn’t punishing enough in MMORPGs, this will encourage people to do their best to avoid it.
While it is correct that you have a chance of dropping items upon death, this only applies to gems.
Oh, can you explain more about gems? Is the item that worth to buy to prevent gem drops and reduce exp penalties?
Mm, well gems are used to further enhance gear, which gives them certain options depending on which gear it is placed on.
This blue gem for example, will enhance magic attack and decrease max SP on weapons, but putting that same gem on an armor will give a different effect. Gems can also be leveled up by sacrificing…something, I haven’t figured out what. Then you have Alchemist’s Gem Roasting which further enhances gems by decreasing stat penalty and increasing stat gain (so in this case the max SP penalty would be reduced and the magic attack enhancement would be further increased). They’re pretty nice to have as they add a bit of ability to customize your gear. Also, you don’t get a lot of them, so I think the item you mentioned that reduces death penalty is worth it, but then again you can prevent your gems dropping by just placing them in storage…
And just to add, I think reduction in gear durability is also a penalty when you die. Otherwise, I’m unable to explain why my gear broke so fast when I was trying to fight this one boss…
Then I should add more effects to the item that players won’t have their gear durability reduced if they died. The item will also prevent gem drops and reduce exp penalties. That way, the item is worth to buy and give profit for both players and IMCGames.
That gem system sounds very promising!

it only reduces the stat penalty from the screenshot I found in the Developer’s Blog.
