Ideas for Sadhu Improvement

Since the staff replied in the Monk section, I’ll open us few left astral walkers a similar topic to get their attention :slight_smile:

Sadhu is currently in a dire state where he’s grasping at every straw he can get to become better.
The main issues with Sadhu are currently:

  1. :OOB isn’t useful enough. The damage is ± ok but it doesn’t make a difference wether you’ve got Circle 1 or Circle 3 Sadhu. There’s the grave problem of 0 defence at later levels,too, which results in you getting killed if caught off-guard.

2.: Sadhu has not enough damage. The only skill scaling well enough with your matk is Astral Body Explosion, which is only 350% of your matk [= ± 4-6 OOB attacks]. Possession is the only other attack skill, and it’s too static to be really useful.

3.: Sadhus support skills are not supporting himself.
Neither Vashita Siddhi nor Transmit Prana are doing anything positive to Sadhu; instead, they disable and cripple you, which is a big “No” for a Class that’s supposed to deal damage.

4.: Issues with OOB (rubberbanding, skill canceling, Praktiri not moving the body to the astral bodies location).



Let’s collect ideas how to improve Sadhu gameplay.

First of all, the Class is in dire need for Circle 3 attributes. Best would be regarding Out of Body:

  • I’d add an attribute to Out of Body that increases the movement speed of the Astral Body as well as the attack speed.
    This would give you a little advantage attackwise and cover the speed loss for improving the range of the skill (i.e. you can move from the center to the maximum range in the same time as at Circle 1 with half the range e.g.).

Then I’d add a Class attribute for Circle 3 that enables you to attack and move your astral body during channeling/casting other skills with your main body.
Since Astral Body and real body are seperate entities (shown as instant casted skills don’t stop your astral bodies attacks/movements during the cast), it’s strange how channeling and casttime disable your body and astral body likewise.



For skill rebalancing:

  • add 50% matk boost to Possession (making it 150% per hit instead of currently 100%+ base skilldamage)

  • remove the CD time of Praktiri and add it onto the attribute instead [without attribute active 0 seconds CD, with attribute activated 16 seconds CD]. Praktiri should have 0 seconds CD, given the long cast animation of OOB and Praktiri which adds to 3-5 seconds already, to enable more tactical maneuverability and use out of combat to move your body around.

  • make the debuff of Vashita Siddhi last either x*skillevel seconds or until the monster/player died. The skill is already bad enough, and has no value for yourself because the debuff is gone if you stop channeling.
    If the debuff would last e.g. at least 4-5 seconds per skilllevel instead of being instantly gone, it would be a great addition to your moveset.

To make the skill the real deal, you could add another attribute that reduces the debuff duration by 30 seconds but grants you the stats reduced by Vashita Siddhi as a buff for 30 seconds, basically turning the skill into a “status leech” at Sadhu Circle 2-3.


  • Transmit Prana needs a serious overhaul. The skill is currently just crippling yourself by giving away your INT + stat xy if attributed.
    That as the only skill at Circle 3 for a damage dealer is a really bad idea.

I’d change the skill towards another approach: Make Transmit Prana work in both directions, and instead of reducing ones stats, you harmonize yourself with another player and get skilllevel10% of his stats as a bonus on top of your own stats, as well as the other player gets skilllevel10% of your stats, making it a symbiosis between Guardian Angel and Life Line basically. If one of the players dies, the effect ends.
This way, the skill will become basically the top reason to go Sadhu C3!

Do something about the decreased defense during Out-of-body, really, and rework Vashita Siddhi, that skill doesn’t even work half the time. Please reduce/remove the cooldown from Prakriti’s HP recovery attribute too, its already risky being in Out-of-Body and the cooldown increase from that attribute can really make or break a match.

Do you think they will fix it before or during the next rank update?

They will fix it in 10 years don’t worry, they’ll fix it.

Seems even the staff has no hope for Sadhu improvements because they know Mr. Kim and the developers better than anyone else.

Why do the attributes have to be circle 3 only? Even sadhu circle 1 needs it to be useful :sob:

Attempt at improving Sadhu mock 2.

Out of Body: Have it increase SPR and INT by 2% per level.
Astral Body Explosion: Give it extra damage scaling for Every Buff on self.
Vashiti: Add Heal for Allies inside the field scaling with SPR.
Transmit Prana: Make it give allies (plural) double the amount sacrificed.

Because Sadhu Circle 1 is already useful.
Aside from Possession at Circle 2, all skills and attributes that are useful are already available at Circle 1. You get the currently best scaling attack skill for magic Clerics (250%+x) with Astral Body Explosion+ Out of Body, which lets you autoattack for matk instead of atk.

In contrast, Sadhu gets worse at Circle 2 and 3 because you only get a little bit utility and damage ( more range with OOB, healing for Praktiri, Possession) and that currently useless Transmit Prana.
Meanwhile, you could get better skills/damage if you’d invest those circles in Krivis/Miko/Paladin/etc.
That’s why Sadhu C2 and especially C3 need more and better attributes to make them more attractive in contrast to switching to another 08/15 Class that seems to be superior in ± every case like Miko.



Please don’t. I absolutely hate the idea of turning the Class even more into a supporter than it already is. Sadhu needs more self-buffs and damage, similar to how all those damagedealers from Archer&Swordsmen Classes work. Healing&buffing abilities don’t help the least, or else all the Archers&Swordsmen also need to be nerfed into 50% party support only skills.

Except Sadhu is literally stated to be an Attack and Support unlike Monk or Bokor. Yet Sadhu support is largely useless and impractical.

If Out of Body increases your offensive stats you’re good to go.

Some QoL improvements:

  1. Let the Ghost jump.
  2. Show your actual HP and SP under the Ghost, the bars are already there anyway.
  3. Better particles for Vashita Siddhi or some other way to actually see the range of the skill.

Regarding Transmit Prana, I never used it so I have no idea of how exactly it works.
I think it’s supposed to be used after OoB. Considering your stats were snapped to your Ghost, you won’t need them anymore. But targeting an ally whitout being able to move is almost impossible. Changing it into a Magic Circle would already help a little bit.

My idea for a Trasmit Prana rework: Change it into a reverse Druid Telepath.
You cast it on an ally, your body enter the OoB state, leaving it vulnerable. The Astral Body is now connected to your ally (% of stats are still transferred).
You do not control the other person, but your Ghost can circle around them (distance would be based on OoB skill value, maybe just a fraction of it).
You can cast any skill from your Ghost, using the ally stats + transmited %.
Casting ABExplosion or Pakriti cancels Transmit Prana.

It is supposed to be used after you ghost up.
However, That’s problematic for when you have to leave Out of Body state.
Your Spirit will be weaker upon recast unless you remove the effect.

Add an Attribute to Prakriti to move you to the spirit without destroying it.
That would be damn useful.

Not enough anyway, if you tried to cast Saint Guardian during a dungeon clean you should understand why.
