Ideas for Kabbalist Rework

After analyzing the current rebalancing and reworking schedules the developers presented,
I’ve come up with some reasonable ideas for a Kabbalist rework that would make the Class a good standalone Class but also provide reasonable synergies with its own and other Classes skills.

Let’s start with Circle 1 changes:

  • Reduce Level gets deleted as a skill and turned into an attribute for Gematria and Notarikon/ a Class attribute

The effect stays the same(it’s now 1 bonus level per attribute level[maximum level 5] instead of skilllevel), but it’s now a permanent level reduction as long as the debuff isn’t used up by Clone/Double Chance/Gevurah to provide a use for Gematria and Notarikon at Kabbalist C1;
Instead of a level reduction, it could also be a attack&defence reduction in %.

  • Merkabah gets removed from Circle 1

As Merkabah is too weak and niche at C1, we do the same as Musketeers Snipe and simply move it to C2

  • the base effect of Revenged Sevenfold gets revamped

Instead of a simple 1 reflection, which is pretty sad for the skill and quite useless unless you have a minion-based build, the skill is changed into a channeling skill(maximum channeling time 5 seconds).
While you channel the skill, the damage you take gets accumulated, and when you have finished channeling, it’s multiplicated with seven and once you release the spell, dealt as AoE damage (this is subject to your AoE attack ratio and monsters AoE defense ratio like Merkabah to give the Kabbalist a reason to stack AoE attack ratio).
This provides a reasonable damage option for C1 even without Merkabah.
The extra damage scaling from skilllevel gets removed, instead the CD time is reduced by 1 second every skilllevel.

  • a new attribute for Revenged Sevenfold is added: Multitarget

The old skill effect is added as an attribute that changes the skill back to 1 hit-reflection for several targets in the case someone has a summoner build or likes the old effect better for PVE/PVP, with 2 additional targets per attribute level (max level 3 = 7 targets, including yourself).
This also changes the nature of the skill from a character-based damage skill to a multi-target support skill, which is pretty interesting and offers several options for builds to utilize the skill.

In case this would be too much trouble to change/introduce, it could also be arranged other way around, with the new single-target channeling skilleffect being attribute-based while keeping the old skilleffect [I still think that cooldown time reduction would be a better scaling effect than +10% damage per skillevel, which has ± no incentive for PVE builds to ever level this skill].

Now onwards to Circle 2:

  • Merkabah added to Circle 2, maximum level increased to 10

Merkabah is only useful from Circle 2 onwards so by providing it a solid start and a new maximum level of 10, it becomes a pretty useful skill with the revamp. It also provides damage and support for the second and third Circle

  • Double Chance max level reduced to 5 and scaling changed to 20% per skilllevel

As Circle 2 on its own is in a pretty sad state by only providing Merkabah, Double Chance and Clone, it should have Double Chance as a useful skill that is maxed at Circle 2 to make Kabbalist C2 a solid build choice in case someone wants to advance into something else at Rank 9 onwards.
This is achieved by reducing the maximum level of Double Chance to 5 and changing the skill scaling to 20% per skilllevel, maxing the effect of 100% of the damage multiplied already at Circle 2. As the multiplied damage does not break through the damage cap in case someone manages to get 120%/140% with Divine Might/a monster gem, this doesn’t influence the game in a bad way.

  • Clone is changed to have a fixed standard clone duration and reducible cooldown time

Similarly to Revenged Sevenfold, Clone now will have a cooldown time reduction of 2 seconds per skilllevel, and a fixed Clone duration of 5 seconds+ x seconds [depending on the number of Gematria/Notarikon]

  • Double Chance recieves a new Circle 2 attribute to increase the Area of effect

As the current Area of effect might be a little too small compared to the AoE of Gematria/Notarikon, the new attribute will increase the AoE of Double Chance to that of Gematria&Notarikon, at the cost of halving the debuff duration (reduced from 15 seconds to 7,5 seconds)

  • Revenged Sevenfold recieves a new Circle 2 attribute to increase the maximum channeling time(requires Revenged Sevenfold level 7)

As the skill is named Revenged Sevenfold, the skills channeling time is simply increased to a maximum of 7 seconds.

Last but not least Circle 3:

  • a new skill “Create/Summon Golem” is added

To distinguish the most known and famous feature of Kabbalism, the animation of inanimated objects as “golems”, it’s added as a new skill for Kabbalist C3 (either 1 or 5 skilllevels).
As in “The Golem of Prague”, the famous story about Rabbi Loew and his creation, the Golem in TOS should be a worker and protector, mainly used as a defensive tool against things which threaten the Kabbalist.
This is why it would be best to theme the golem with this in mind, with high HP&defence and a high AoE defence ratio (>50) so that he can protect the Kabbalist while he’s near it from untargeted attacks. About what else the golem could do and how he works, there are several possibilities, e.g. a card-based summon like Necromancers summoned Shoggoth or Sorcerers summoned Devil or an item-based creation like Alchemists Homunculus.
I’ll leave it to the developers how they’d like to design it.

  • Merkabah recieves a new Circle 3 attribute: scythed chariots(requires Merkabah level 10)

basically this changes the passing aura damage(100% matk) from once per chariot to once every 0,5 seconds as long as the target is near the chariot. This increases the damage of Merkabah and helps with mob control by continuously dealing damage [as a worthy C3 damage boosting attribute that most Circle 3 Classes have for their signature skills].

  • Clone recieves a new Circle 3 attribute “Clone:Calculation error” (requires Clone level 5)

As Clone is a pretty useful skill for farming and considering the useful feature of CD reduction which enables you to use it more often if you level it, this attribute will give you the chance of 2xskilllevel% to double the amount of Clones produced and 1xskillevel% chance to half the amount of Clones produced while the attribute is active.
This makes the use of the skill a gamble, but it is a great help if you’d like to focus more on the support skills of Kabbalist instead of the attack skills Revenged Sevenfold/Merkabah.
+100% SP consumption.
