I don’t agree as well because i can foresee people being a complete ass to annoy the hell out of their friends using that function, kinda like nudging yea?
What i would like to see is an employed community GM or sort, one whose main duty for being employed is to keep hackers, gold sellers and exploiters at bay. For example they can use a program to monitor the number of times report button is being used on a single person in game, and when it hits an alarming number, lets just say for example, 50 reports from 50 different people, go in game and check that player out, from there take screen shots or video of what the player is doing as evidence and drop the freaking ban hammer on them. If a person is heavily suspicious the community GM can create a post on the forum to gather different views and allow the community to vote whether the shady player deserve a ban, or temporary suspension of sort.
Most importantly this community GM cannot have other sub duties like lets just say managing advertising channels such as their facebook and twitter accounts, if not they will not have the capacity to administer a fair gameplay. They can have shifts and what not but must be constantly monitoring the players, kinda like a security guard ya know?
This is one way to counter botters, hackers and exploiters, act faster than they can profit !!! Of course and they have to post banned names weekly and be as transparent and firm as possible in their actions to deter future exploiters who attempt to take the shortcut or profit at the expense of others.
