Idea for making the game not "linear" like most MMO nowdays

Personally i never liked the idea of everybody starts in the same area (post training or tutorial) and all the cities are linked to a level cap so most of the cities will be empty and probabily never be visited by 90% of the players. I liked how FFXIV adressed this, with the Major continents by Race (and other mmorpgs with multiple starting cities as well).

If we have 4 basic classes, why not have 4 basic cities and a Capital., all the zones arround each city can have low level monsters and basic quests tied to your basic class and make some progess around it but without interferring a main quest scenario based on traveling trough every place and experience different maps and have the feeling to be part to one of those cities. I call this because, it’s feels so odd, having all the classes mixed up in the same city.

I know this is a beta, but having only 3 cities in the entire World Map? And one of them only for level 400+?

Yeah it would be nice, just dont forget this is Tree of Savior, not Ragnarok online, if you want RO then go play RO.

It’s just cbt, a lot of content will be added in future if game will be popular. Same was in ro too (1st job classes + ~5-6 cities).

Did you even read? The main point was the lack of cities.
These guys thinking everyone wants to play RO all over again.

Perhaps using examples that exclude RO would help your case then.

Edited the main post for the whiny people who belives everyone wants to play RO HD.

You’re welcome. Unfortunately, throwing a fit won’t help your case either. lol

agreed.
but some people told me in tos you have 3 maps to choose for each level.why it’s still linear? i didnt play this game so tell me more about it please.
thanks

If you look at the World Map, you’ll notice the level ranges between maps start to decrease. So I guess technically it gives you more options for grinding (though to me it’s a cheap gimmick).

The main point is that you want starting cities for each class, just like RO.
