iCBT2 Current EXP Rate

So after playing both iCBTs I realized something. As far as early game goes, I think that the current EXP rate feels just right. You have plenty of quests to keep you occupied and even when you run out, grinding isn’t too bad. At the most you’ll only have to grind 1-2 levels to continue your quests and the mob exp feels adequate to do so. It’s still not EASY to level, you still have to put in a lot of time, but it doesn’t feel so much like a chore as it did in iCBT1. The only thing I would personally change about the exp rate is the bonus and penalty exp of mob levels. I just made a quick graph to give you an idea of what I think would be optimal to keep people grinding mobs around their level instead of just mass mobbing as Tenet Chapel until the exp runs out xD

Graph definitely needs some tweaking but you get the idea. great exp from same level to 10 levels higher, decent exp up to 10 levels lower, dropping down to almost nothing 20 lower. Just keep in mind that even with the current rates, the level cap is several hundred. Even when you hit 100 you’re really just getting started. It should be relatively smooth sailing up to the half way point and become very difficult for the last stretch. So what are your opinions? Do you think this current exp rate will be suitable for late game? If we switch back to iCBT1 rates will it be impossible to even get half way?

The idea of the game is to grind and take weeks/months to get to lvl 600, so i doubt they’ll keep them as they are.
As someone who plays around 2-3 hours a day, i also think this rate is fine, but im guessing their focus is on people who play 8-9 hours / stream the game.

True but so far we only know what the grind is like up to the 130+ range. Who’s to say that even with these rates it still won’t take a full day of grinding to get from 500 to 501? We just don’t know what late-game is like yet so it’s too hard to tell.

My point is that probably want you to take a week to get one level later on. Kind of like Ragnarok Online, where advance class took around a full day to get 10% close to lvl 95.

Well the big difference is the number of levels. Assuming the level cap was still 99 on RO, 1 lvl on RO would be 6 on ToS.

I think the early game feels just right as well.Very nice and smooth progression.I didn’t have to actually grind to level until level 84 to get to level 86,and part of that was my fault for forgetting about the level 50 dungeon.I think otherwise I would have only had to make up part of that which I would have had no issue with.

Even now at 110 the quests are pretty readily available for cards.I know that changes sometime in this range, but I actually sort of wish the rates would stay where they are now or somewhere close. The first test was horrible in terms of EXP rates, but I think that was to slow us down from getting to the untranslated/buggier content;and we knew it would improve this time.Last time was lower than average, this is above average. So I do wonder where we’ll end up as well.
