I think people that use their own lives as an example to why this should be restricted do not understand the meaning of all this.
Behold the f**king wall of text.
F2P games should be:
- If you don’t have time to play but you have money, you can activate a token, and level up faster allowing you to catch up. Having more dungeon entries too if you happen to get a day off that you wanna spend playing the game. (And other benefits)
- If you have time to play, usually means you won’t be needing advantages to level up (Or probably won’t have the money to do so), therefore you should not be restricted so that people with less time to play won’t get roflestomped by you.
It’s a time/money relation… Since you all are making references to real life, I’ll make mine.
I have time to play, lots of time. Why should I be restricted to level up fast because people that don’t won’t be able to catch up?
Is your argument more valid than mine because you don’t have time to play the game? Is my argument more valid than yours because I have time to play the game?
We obviously are looking at this from the wrong perspective if this is what it ends up being.
I think dungeon limitations are fine, but not as they are. We could have 3 runs per dungeon. Irrelevant if you have time to play all that or not, you will always have the option to do so. More item drops means less inflation on dumb items.
And I’m sorry to be blunt here, but you guys that play the game casually depend on people that play it in a hardcore manner to actually be able to buy that stupid Beetleback shield, for example. Or do you think Varv Skins are just appearing out of thin air in the market.
And the market… Oh man… Don’t get me started…
It’s pathetic. So you are complaining you don’t have time to play and people that have will be able to farm and have stuff, but most likely they’ll be robbed of their effort by the retarded market taxes. So all my work farming items just so I can sell it and get only 70% of the profit? (Considering most people that have lots of time to play usually don’t use Tokens, unless bough with in-game currency). Or perhaps trade it for talt. Wasting time announcing on /y and meeting people that didn’t know about untradable Talts.
Leveling fast is not a problem. People’s egos are. You’d rather wait for an hour to be able to run a level 200+ dungeon then having more people at that level to play with? In a game that encourages multiple characters and such? Leveling fast is good for this game.
Sure it’s awesome to be at the top and I respect the effort that most people that are already there put into their characters, but after some time at the top, waiting to be able to do content for hours, things get boring and when that happens you start losing interest in the game.
[Edit: and then, Chatnarok happens]
