I reported a bot and he disappeared

It’s not the first time it happened so I decided to record it

Ooo, how much hp did it have in the first place? To think you manage to kill it with a single hit :open_mouth:

That’s some super effective skill you have there, I need to level up mine too

Would reporting Z-key AFK’ers lower my reporting influence index?

Yeeeep! Don’t use report bot function on z people.

I’ve been seeing less botters on some maps now also. Maybe they just outleveled me since I’m so slow.

Happened to me too. Reported a bot farming in Greene Manor and it disappeared only a few seconds later. At the moment when it tried to attack an Orange Tama that I engaged first.

IMC might develop a classifier for z-bot.
They dont consider the report of z-bot as fault. so your RII will be stable

Why would it reduce your report standing? It IS a bot. Whether its a leveling/farming bot or a spam bot was never elaborated on, furthermore should not even matter.
Its a bot, it should be reported.

I just smashed my face off the desk.

I’m tired of explaining this. Basically the method used to detect bots doesn’t really work on Z afkers so they don’t get flagged like 3rd party program users.

They don’t get flagged = your standing goes down.

iMC themselves said not to do it.

By all means though, do what you want. You don’t deserve a strong vote if you do stupid things like that.

no it doesn’t. go re-read the explanation. the GM’s need to make the ban, the automated system just shows them what evidence it can find.

well, the news article about it even specifically said so.

“if you make a report, and the person reported turns out to NOT be a bot, everyone who reported them gets a mark against them” (roughly summarized)
good reports and bad reports do not seem to have equal “weight” in the system. that is, a few bad reports might outweigh a large number of good reports.

y’all don’t really read very well do you?

For example, a player going afk while leaving a heavy object on the attack key has to be handled differently from regular bots. The classifier can deem the afk player innocent from looking at the honest play records, so afk players should not be reported using the report function as that will work against your RII.

or in simpler terms: z-afker’s are NOT THE SAME AS BOTS, imc said so. “afk player innocent”
your opinion is irrelevant to the responses, since you don’t run the game.

i guess IMC assumes that “a rock” is available to, well, literally everyone, so using that as your playstyle isn’t any advantage that others can’t access. lol

Z spam is in 99% done by macro which is the trashiest kind of Bot. Also these are as bad as other bots for the players.
Feel free to report these until that disease is finally gone.

it’s cool. noobs willing to be educated aren’t really noobs in my book.

unlike some people…

The statement is about using weights which probably no one does anyways.
And for using macros they should be punished. Tbh they should be punished for weights too as that behavior is as toxic as bots to everyone trying to play the game the regular way.

I could use a pendulum hitting 1 to spam barrage on good spots. Probably fine too, eh?

nah, that’s “automated playing”, since it regularly presses the key at certain intervals.

why make a macro when they said “as long as you’re just doing ‘zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…(etc)’ we don’t care”?
a stack of pennies or other spare change, taped together so they don’t spill. using that is a lot easier than writing any macro.

besides, a macro would provide a series of keypresses, which again, is “automated playing”.
even just "(wait)z… (wait)z… (wait)z… (wait)z… (wait)z… (wait)z… (wait)z… " still requires some kind of external (aka 3rd party) software to run it.

if the dude is literally just standing still waving his sword across the road, and waiting for things to walk in it… then he’s not guilty of anything IMC wants to punish (at least not at this time), and reporting them will be a false report, and penalize your ability to report.

Holding Z with weight is also an external one action function.
I could also turn on the setting that holding a key actually repeats the key. This is legit as most gaming keyboards/mice have that. Then put down the weight and spam delete the display with barrage. Fine now? Free millions over night. Z is just about one probably.
