I’m really in doubt which weapon to get for Monk c2
Since Monk skilss are based on Str, which of the following is better?
Suncus Maul = +2lvl all monk skills
Trinity Sword = +40Str
or, any other?

Suncus Maul - The +2 to all monks skills scales damage better. Its also has higher Phy Attack - (100 point difference)
Have you tried both to say that ?
I always talk about which attribute is better for which DPS so I’ll just have to ask you how do you see your monk contributing damage would it be more of an auto attack or skill spamming?
STR = Auto attack
Skill Up = Skill spamming, obviously.
+2 to all skills is really significant IMO, especially when you rely on spamming maxed out skills. Use monster gems and you get +3 more levels on a particular skill.
You can still make Suncus Maul relevant at higher levels if you can overupgrade it beyond the safe +5 limit (not that hard to hit +10 if you have enough silver).

You don’t play with Monk, do you?
Monk DPS is all about spamming Double Punch (0 cd, but consumes 2 stamina).
Since the skill dmg is based on my attack dmg + skill lvl I wonder if 40+ STR surpass those +2lvl points.
Oh ok, thanks for the info. So that answers it, monks are skill spammers. I seriously doubt 40 STR gives more DPS than +2 Skill upgrade.
Edit: Also calculated how much double punch gives per level and that is 32 attack so that’s 64 more attack in 2 levels vs 40 STR
And how much 40 Str brings to Dmg for Cleric class ?
If its 2 dmg per 1 Str, then 80 + dmg, therefore 40str is better ?..
One has answered me on other forum, he told me he had both trinity and suncus maul at beta ToS, and Suncus maul was slightly better about dmg, and since Suncus maul is way cheaper and easy to get, it’s worth more to get it.

At that point it’s not even a fair comparison, +2 to all monk skills regardless of how much STR adds to the skills. If I’m correct there are 2 skills that does not require STR will also be boosted, the iron skin and that golden bell thing I believe. And looking at the skills some of them even have a higher dmg boost per level. For example Hard knife = 462 + 95(per skill level)

I’m a Krivis build Monk and have Divine Stigma Lv10 which adds 78 to STR, at best it adds around 200-300 damage to my attacks, so with 40 STR I’m guessing only half of that around 100-150 damage
with Suncus Maul you get 100 more Physical attack +2 levels to all monk skills, and high chance to upgrade to +7-8 easily compared to Trinity sword
