I need a WHEN ! When will ToS [English ver.] OBT will be Released through Steam?

  1. All current MMOs are dated or bad.

  2. Other games are boring

  3. That’s more of a necessity if you consider age.

  4. Most of mine are either dead or too far away to spend time with.

  5. After a certain point in life, relationships are too much of a hassle and isn’t something that should be rushed.

  7. There are a billion boring and useless things to do. Just cause there’s something to do doesn’t mean it’ll be fun.

Forum updates are the worst types of bones I’ve ever had the displeasure of having. We were told we’d have our International Beta AFTER the K-CBT2. Yet IN-CBT and K-CBT3 is the only thing we even get whispers of.

@ninisty There’s a billion more things to do, and I agree just because there is a billion things to do, doesnt mean they’re all fun.

But at least one is. And I guarantee at least one beats sitting around on the forum for updates on a game that’s not even got updates about CBT 3 in it’s native country.

@FatePGN Trust me, some of us have nothing to do. Which is why we’re typing on a mildly good and mildly bad forum board to begin with.

@Shiro It’s actually been stated that they won’t be working on Half Life 3 unless everyone at Valve suddenly decides to it and has a good reason to do it. Which is highly unlikely to happen anytime soon. Though this statement came from ChristianToday and they’ve been known to post out false articles.

I think people need to start bracing themselves for the fact that this game could be a while off. It’s perfectly possible that this game might arrive as late as December.

Coming here every day EXPECTING an announcement is a self-destructive attitude. Just wait and see, check for the admin/mods to make an announcement. Until then, everyone is in the dark.

Well it’s what we expect when the dev team gives us “soon”. Soon can mean 5 minutes from now or 2 years. Soon is the time it will take to all the beta-keys to get taken.

Leaving people in the dark is not good for busisness.

Gaben told me in a dream that Half Life 3 is ready. Valve is only waiting the hardware to evolve so it can be played properly at 180 FPS in a 8K resolution.
This was right before the dream where Jessica Alba asked me to take her to the heavens (I was a 747 pilot in this one).

Ooh ■■■■, he told me he was waiting until we all joined to become a hive mind singularity and transcended our human bodies in order to truly appreciate the story telling of HF3. Otherwise, the game has been finished for years, just sitting on a 3^1337 tera byte usb stick in his office.

Half Life 3 confirmed loss of main character to ToS, main charecter of HL3 stated: “I want to shoot cute looking things.”

Actually Skyforge is really good!

It took about a week to unlock Kinetic, but anyone can unlock Archer, Slayer, Kinetic, Necromancer within a day if they know how to (played the other betas).

Most normal people unlock it on their first week, and it gets super amazing after that.

Once you get to the first 5 man dungeon, its super intense and the game changes so much!

I’d play for awhile before judging, but then again I got a free $20 founder pack which gave just enough stuff to access the cool stuff faster.

While discussing Skyforge is a good bit off-topic, it’s still better than begging for a release date repeatedly, so…

SF is a game I’d honestly stay away from - and that’s coming from someone who had the questionable “pleasure” of playing it all the way to the God Form quest.

It’s the very definition of repetitive, boring and unrewarding.
At first I was glad when I discovered a low-level dungeon with interesting fight mechanics (hive boss, crystal boss, “ant queen” boss with falling debris and egg spawns)… But after about a week it got nerfed into oblivion and became like the rest - a dumb chore.

That’s all the game is about - repeatedly grind the same dungeons over and over again, repeat Gather X items/Kill X mobs quests in “open” areas, gather “sparks”.

Horrible itemization, too - you’re pretty much stuck with literally two or three weapons which will look the same throughout the entire game (with better numerical stats) and a bunch of identical rings/amulets/trophies. Customization in both combat builds and looks is completely meh.

I could go on, but the TL:DR; version is still “keep out, not worth the time”.

But it’s OBT. Has more content, and the unique invasion system where you fight off the alien invasion and might even be able to go into alien planets is in :smiley:
CBT had very minimal and repetitive content. I played RU OBT for quite awhile and got to all those bosses you mentioned and more, especially when you start doing the bigger raids :wink:
However itemization, in terms of looks, is still horrid. But the flashy skills that keep your eyes off the items help with it.
But none the less, it is a time passer till ToS :cry:

Also I noticed some people talk about CBT keys for ToS, so they visit the website often and forums looking for a release date so they don’t miss CBT key giveaways.

But truth is, who knows if there will be CBT keys? When this website had a CBT button for all of 5 minutes before it was taken down, you actually clicked the signup button, and then were asked your age group. I’m going to assume they’ll ask for a mini-survey and then decide from that group of people who they’ll let in, not really a CBT key thing like you’d normally see in the west.

Hopefully @STAFF_Marikim will be able to shed some light soon on how CBT selection process will work!
