I love the game, but theres one thing that let me down ALOT

Hello! Currently I have almost 350 hours of game, have a lvl 230 Shinobi and a LVL 120 Bokor

I really loved the game, but theres one thing that really let me down… The final rank classes

Let me try to explain, lets use Ragnarok as a example, when I started to play and I saw the Assassin I was like “OMG 2 KATARS/CLAWS!? THATS SO COOL! How much I need to be one? Oh! That level! I can make it!” And with some days (Like, 3-5 maybe) with grind you would reach you desired class and, after that you would upgrade their skills with evolutions

Same thing with Gunslinger “OMG SO COOL! I really want it” and you can! You dont need to grind for weeks using a bow to reach that

Now, in TOS is something like (This happened to me just now) “OMG! A class with a canon! I want it! Its so cool” and when I check I receaved a “NOPE! You must play for days and more days with a bow/crossbow to only reach that canon class in rank 7, GOOD LUCK!”

This happens with all the classes. “Oh, I want to summon the dead to aid me”, nope, Rank 7, days and days using fire, ice or time, but no dead like you wanted

“OMG! A druid! I can transform myself into a monster and kick some ass” - Nope, days and more days grinding using heal, buffs, heals and morebuffs until that

My point is: Why classes that REALLY change your character need to be SO FAR?

I think this game would be 200% more cool if you have more lines to classes, like (I gonna make it up, so bear with me), if you want to be a necromancer you need to enter a line that make sense (Bokor is a REALLY GOOD example) and after, I dont know, Bokor c3 you can reach necromancer or maybe Bokor > Sorc you can reach necromancer, you know?

Unfortunately the game is already done and that will never change… But it would be much better if we could REALLY change our classes…

Thats it, thanks for those who read and sorry for my engrish

Do you think Assassins and Gunslingers were released on the open beta release of ragnarok? No.

That not remove my point

Still need to grind for 200 hours to reach a rank 7 to really change my class :frowning:

Lets use ragnarok’s monk for example, you dont need have to suffer ranks and more ranks until finally have a str skill, but in TOS you need to suffer ALOT until that point

You never actually change your class.

You get access to different moves and sets of weapons as you progress in the game, there’s nothing wrong with that.

I think you are supposed to work hard for your wish. You know, you will appreciate more your character and progress if you actually work harder for it.

That’s what IMC said about the hairstyle dyes:
ToS Blog Q&A No.13:

…"instead of making them possible when selecting a character, we want players to obtain them in the game.

We hope for your understanding for this since we believe that players will be more affectionate to their characters when they become unique and distinct from other players’ characters after a long period of playtime instead of just allowing diverse customization options from the beginning."

I wouldn’t complain now, instead I’d continue working for what I want.

Hope it helps! Get motivated!

Actually, no

After I reached my shinobi I stopped playing him because I was so tired of using the same skills until that point, and keep using them until I got some more skills (class in rank 7 take A LOT) was… sad,thats why I created my bokor

You get access to different moves and sets of weapons

THIS!

Thats what I talking about, you see progress, diference, a motive to keep going

Now in tos if you want to USE a canon, you need to grind for 200hours with a bow, you never change and thats REALLy boring

The Rank 7 classes are definitely the most interesting, and I agree that it takes a long time to reach that Rank.

…but the paths to Rank 7 are also really interesting.

With a little more optimism, you could say:
“OMG! A class with a canon! I want it! Its so cool! … OMG! I can get a Hunter too?! AND A FALCON?! I CAN BE A BEAST-MASTER CANNONEER!!!” :astonished: :astonished: :astonished:

“Oh, I want to summon the dead to aid me … AND I can control time! Why do more games not have nechronomancers?!”

Well…if you suffer while playing the game you should stop playing, it supposed to be funny.

LOL, that’s exactly what I’m building @Beast Master Cannoneer.

This… is a really good point

But why I cant get necro first, then chrono?

would be cool if we could have more freedom in our choices

You cannot compare like that, We’re lucky to know what’s in rank 7. Back to old days, you don’t even have a clue what’s gonna happen in old games. And that’s what make game interesting.

If you compare beta of RO there weren’t even things like Assassin you know…and grinding to the high lvl took weeks and weeks and weeks. I can’t even remember how long it ppl took to reach 99/50 in the beta/early stage of the game

And Gunslinger in RO is like so late into the game that at that point leveling was no challenge at all. You could literally go to lv spots 50 lv above you and kill monsters with yggdrassil leaf and they would give you full xp without penalty

There are really just way too many things wrong with your complaint that it’s hard to write it all up tbh.

The way the class system was designed is actually good.

You may be only aiming for Cannoneer, for example, but there are many different ways to reach there.

You can be a beast master cannoneer, a trapper cannoneer, a caster cannoneer and so on.

Instead of only aiming for the ending point, try to think more of what path you are going to choose to get there.

I understand what luca means…correct me if i am wrong.! luca_macarini is trying to say: if I like to be a necromancer… why i do need to pass for many class for it…i guess he want to start as necromancer since the beggining. Like say every class must have their own path with out the others…

that is what are you trying to say?

You should play swordman

r1 = sword shield
r2 = 2h sword
r3 = spear shield
r4 = mount
r5 = dual wield
r6 = rapier
r7 = ninja

So you can completely change yourself in every rank (but don’t do that for every rank ok?)

I trying to say two things:

Why I must be a Necro only in the end? Why cant I start with Necro, go to sorc, than chrono, pyro and etc. Why cant I choose more freely?

and

Why classes cant have a line that make sense like Bokor > Necro > Sorc

The short answer is balance. Your thinking of a class system more akin to ffxiv or ffxi. If all the classes were available from the start and were all the same power level, I’d personally find it kind of boring.
