I love grinding too. well as long as its rewarding of course. but most MMOS i played were only fun if they were “korea grinders” (9Dragons, Dark Eden, Red Stone). these were alot of fun and i would play them any time again! finding a rare item after a long grind is just such a rewarding feeling
hope to get a key soon so i can grind some more again ;D
Its not like your Stuck in one place. You should have player Ro just after release. Make a Char, then what? no questlog no nothing the only Quest i did in the first weeks were Job change quests. The rest of the time i spent with Friends or other Random players who became friends and explored the World and Dungeons and of cours we were lvling aka grinding aka killing mobs for EXP. One of my best MMO Memories.
In some 3rd-rate game that was thrown together within a year to serve as a cash-grab, sure, I can see where you’re coming from. But that logic does not apply here. There are actually fun Quests already in the game with objectives other than “Kill 25 mobs here, Kill 18 more there.”. There were townsfolk protection quests, detector quests, those barrel/rock searching quests, etc.-- More could be added ontop of those. These are examples of Quests, and these Quests are certainly better than endless Grinding.
I love grinding. No doubt some of the quests are really cute and special but I prefer the human interaction over NPC any day. LOL
This man knows, hats off to you sir ! FLYFF was the ■■■■ for me a while ! Funnest time I had playing an MMORPG without friends ! If my friends would have played it with me, I would have easily spent 10x the amount of time I did !
If its the kind of grinding that a BOT can do, well thats why bots exist in the first place
Myself as a developer would never include this type of grinding, would scare/bore normal population and leave only the “weird” players together with the bots.
If its a kind of grinding that varies constantly and requires many elements leading up to human interaction and decision making, then yeah! But that would probably follow a questing and grouping model, wich is probably better/more advanced anyways.
Grinding is fun only if its set up just right. Games like these usually have pleasant grinding.
Absolutely correct! I’m so greatful for that.
You can always grind on me baby girl hue hue hue
Oh wait, wrong forum damn xD
I like when you get rewarded for grinding. It is what makes me love mmorpgs.
Not obligatory grinding monster can be really well done i hope it will be in ToS with interesting skills and interesting monster and ton to kill :D, Like for example Dekaron or in the hack’n slash cousin: D2 PoE and D3. Wich all resume in grind and it’s a pleasant grind, even if it can be done by a bot.
Grind in RO1 is pretty decent but it do takes a toll while playing will get boring from time to time it was actually designed ( BEFORE ) to go PL in dungeons such as biolabs etc.
You want grind? play RF Online haha hard to reach max lvl 65 haha even if you keep playing for a year you might reach lvl 60 I was able to reach lvl 64 in a year non stop with me and my cousin he plays every morning I play every night so you wont see our character offline haha.
I like a little grind… Long as it’s not based on RNG.
what do you mean by “RNG base” how can grinding be randomize?
Blue mobs. Motherfuckin blue mobs.
With the right amount grinding it’s fun. But if too much ,it’s will become self-torturing
Completely agree. I would much rather grind out than do really tedious quests all the same. It gives me a sense of accomplishment because I spent hours grinding and im getting rewarded for it. I’m not much of a quest person. I find it really boring.
I guess having 0.1% drop chance of an item on a monster?
I think he doesn’t want that, but want to have for example a contract to get such and such weapon if he kills 1k of them instead. I guess this guy is a bit like kripparian. Never lucky.
One of my guilty pleasures while growing up.
So much grinding, but I loved it.
I played Flyff too!
Back when you had to level your skills instead of skill points and upgrade dice. So much fun, I had too much fun lol. Then shortly later I found iRO and it Blew. My. Mind. So much FUN!
