Newer…like wow?, what year is this?
Id rather grind mobs than grind mindless quests…the later seems to be the norm on modern mmos, I hope it’s not the case in ToS.
Wow is old now true but it was at the beginning of the new age of shitty mmo mass production we have now.
Mindless quests are unneeded. I give you that. After all - it all depends on the gameplay and how well you can work with it.
But if a game does not have any quests at all you get something like… Metin 2. Remember that game? Yeah…
Yea vanilla wow was good BC was okay and after that was ■■■■. And if you played secret world you know why its bad.
I played the ■■■■ out of beta/vanilla WoW and quit with BC.
I played Secret World in open beta and a bit after launch.
Apart from the balancing of the research quests (because they wouldn’t give you that much XP) I found the quests to be highly interesting. At least in the starting areas.
Absolutely love grinding. Couple 99lvl (lamps) in original RO, and one 100lvl in PoE. I love it!
I love being able to relax after a hard day and just grind on an MMO. I really love grinding, it eases my nerves.
You said it all my friend, Grinding after a stressfull or hard day is so calming, at least for me.
Grinding is good that means you have to work you a$$ up to be stronger.
Especially in a comfy game like this.
I plan to play it with my girlfriend so we can just chill and smack things while I enjoy the music.
heh.

You saw what I did there
You’re the Man. Haven’t found a girlfriend who play video games yet, keep her my friend !
Shouldn’t be about just that in life. But I really appreciate her for doing this with me.
I plan on keeping her. FOREVER
Would you trade her for icbt key, please?
You’re right, but it’s always better to have her at least know that gaming isn’t just a waste of time, you know. Even if she don’t play them, if she understand WHY we play them, it’s perfect. Anyway, let us not stay on that subject, haha.
I love challenging gameplay with sprinkles of grinding here and there.
I hate pure grinding for countless hours, or anything tedious and boring that doesn’t challenge me at all and wastes my time.
I love making good amounts of progress every time i play a game, and hate when i reach max level too fast.
I also really love when a game presents me with challenges that force me to try new approaches to complete it, by switching up my gears, partying with people to make things more manageable, or just grinding a bit until i feel strong enough to handle it.
I guess this is why i rarely play mmorpgs anymore, even though i’m really looking forward to ToS.
Somewhat similar mentalities. I always for ed my wife to farm cards and Acid Demo mats for me in RO… Is nice having free labor.
Agreed. I’d rather have to grind than push through a lot of mediocre content which is what most MMOs seem to be made up of these days. I’d rather have a few really good quests I have to grind for a bit in between rather than a billion fetch quests with little to no challenge or depth to them whatsoever.
