I just want an honest opinion on the game from someone who enjoys it

I don’t care so much about the server issues, more the game-play. I heard it was quite easy, I heard the token system was a problem (not even sure what the tokens are for), I heard the dungeon fatigue (entry limits) are too strict, stuff to do with bosses etc. I just want a legitimate opinion with no hate and no biased opinion… just a real view on the game from someone who has actually put in a decent amount of time. Thanks.

If u have a real this is it:

Game is really good. Have some problems, admins try to fix it. I think they need about 2-3 months 4 fix much of them.

The End of true here)

Have Fun)

It’s a nicely made game, versatile class builds, fun solo and group contents, and not too expensive to play game

Running on sacks of potato located in the US, Germany, Singapore, and Brazil (?), with graphic optimisation so bad, that there is no fix client side

P.S IMC seems to be a group of people who cares about the community but has like 2 staff running the company, so a lot of things gets fixed very slowly

pros
-class system is great
-combat/skills are fun

cons
-client optimization is a joke
-trade system is a joke
-chat is a joke
-constant server downtime
-bots/spammers everywhere (you have to turn off chat pop ups in town as they will cover other parts of the user interface. ie: the market place)
-addons have to be created for things that should’ve been included in the first place
-dungeon lock outs
-klap/orsha are essentially dead. they jumped the gun on xferring the BRs, as insane as that is to say. dungeon ques take way too long and for some reason we can’t que cross server
-tons of random bugs
-impending world boss limitations
-deep earth tower runs are impossible at current gear/character level

Good:

  • Intensive quest-based leveling progress
  • Many classes and builds (some are better than others, but hopefully will be balanced later)
  • Great art & music
  • Many secrets (I’m on my third replay and still find something new)
  • Good for both casual and hard core players (daily content vs grinding)

Bad:

  • Low mobs population at higher level map
  • Dungeons are monotonous, if you win it once, you will win it again
  • High gold sink in upgrade
  • Few items per level
  • Not enough set item
  • Market system is crap
  • Grind too slow without quests (because mob is too strong and you have lots of down time unless you have the right party)

I’m playing it casually (1-2 hours per day) and if we’re talking about the game itself, it’s absolutely fine.

It’s not that hard indeed (can be quite a hassle if you’re playing healer tho but it’s a usual matter), dungeon restriction can be painful indeed but you’ll have plenty things to do anyway (at least under level 100).

So yes it has issues, especially regarding network, but overall it’s a fairly good game, quite enjoyable.

It’s not bad. There are some tweaks needed in the gameplay, such as better controller UI, or improvement of chat system (when the chatbox disappears and you accidentally press a hotkey that has a scroll or tome in it you did not want to use yet), and the goldseller, but overall these can be remedied, granted by band-aid fixes for the time being, but with better implementation eventually.

As long as they don’t do what Ragnarok did and have a “Renewal”.

I’ve got close to 700 hours since iCBT1.

All you seriously need to know at this point:

If you aren’t the patient type [as far as them adding fixes, features, and content],then this probably isn’t a good match for you.

i love grinding mobs, but once good area disappear and i am forced to quest, it is like a mom trying to feed disgusting medicine to her child.

I wish they release the pvp battle league soon.

I wish my friends level as fast as I do.
(Making an alt is a bad idea before ur first reach lv220 imo. it kill motivation going thru same area again.)

A non-biased opinion is a weird thing to ask haha.

The game is fun control wise. The aesthetics are wonderful to run around and crunch through the quests with. The class system is interesting, though unfortunately, many build combinations just don’t work as well as a select few. You can ignore that like I did, though. If you ever ask for advice on a non-optimal build, expect a lot of pressure to reroll.

But the game is also repetitive, unfortunately. You do the exact same kind of quests with nearly the exact same format for 230 levels, with the difficulty bump not related to AI or anything, but rather that the mobs suddenly spike in HP and damage. People always try to mitigate how easy the first 200 levels are by saying its a “200 level tutorial” but imo it’s not a good excuse. It’s just early game. You do nearly the same exact thing for 200+ levels, the tutorial ends when you complete the first 3 areas. Argue that most mmos are like this, true, but other mmorpgs are better at tossing things up or keeping it interesting via thematics.

And then, after 230 levels of doing that + very painfully boring dungeons, you end up with an rng boss farming late game with little to do beyond logging in, getting your runs done, and logging out. I may be biased here since I play full support, and have little to no need to run certain dungeons. Collection/recipie/hat farming is surprisingly addictive, and good to pass the time with in late game. Many things are obviously just very obviously dailies-to-distract-from-lack-of-content. I can’t blame the devs for this, you can only put out so much content at a time.

Dungeon entrances structure your gameplay a little more than some people would like, but it’s not bad to deal with. Mob spawns are horrible for grinding. Definitely not a game for people who love playing the market. Community features are a little lacking.

and of course, all the technical issues you probably already know about.

BUT I like the game, and I’m sticking with the game. I think it has potential, and with some strong head turning, the game at its core is enjoyable. I think that’s probably the most significant opinion to take from this.

the game is ■■■■■■■ great. if it wasn’t, there wouldn’t be so many people complaining.

but keep in mind that, with every second you spend on it comes a higher and higher chance of imc doing something to piss you off.
