Maybe my archer is built wrong (C2 Archer, C1 sapper) but I’m currently at level 42 and I am EXTREMELY disappointed. I find it extremely frustrating that I have a low base HP pool and do abysmal damage.

I’m tired of running out of mana, wtf is up with the absurd mana cost. I tried dumping points into SPR but that requires me to pull out a bonfire to recover which is impossible while group training. Been kicked out of parties so many times because of it.

I’m too broke to buy claymores. I don’t know whose idea it was to price them at 300 coins a pop.

I had such high hopes for the archer class but i’m afraid I am not a masochist.

Try experiencing a wizard. They don’t get much in the way of additional SP over other classes without spirit investment either and all their skills cost 2-8x as much SP.

Flame ground in particular is an SP hog like non-other. Chug pots. The cheapest silver cost ones are the most efficient if you keep them on CD while grinding. For the most part while questing you shouldn’t have to drink any outside of bosses

I also highly doubt any parties are kicking you for regenerating unless the party is all swordsman besides you considering most other classes want to regenerate as well.

Archers get insane later on. Can out damage most other classes. Problem is you’re still a very, very low level and complaining about it.

Getting to level 42 is like 3-4 hours. Come back when you’ve played for another 3-4 hours.

About the best advice out there for Archers right now. Yes, life as an Archer sucks. They are the definition of late bloomers. It’s amazingly rewarding if you tough it out till you’re actually late game.

I’m at Archer C3 and shooting the crap out of stuff in Kneeling Shot. I’m running a full Dex build, and the dodge is funny enough lol. I don’t think you’re supposed to spam skills in this game, unless you wanna kill a quest boss asap.

archer is insane late game and yes you build it wrong. if you gonna get sapper i think a quarrel shooter is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. then you get sapper. then you get sapper 2nd circle and start mobbing millions of monsters in a broom trap and get a lot of exp etc etc etc. and you dont know where to get money? just kill the panto archers they drop mark golves and boots that can be selled by 1.4k of silver. hope i helped. My leveling partner is an Archer/ranger with LOTS of SPR (4:3 ratio with his STR I think) and it takes quite a lot of time to completely use up all of his SP pool. Couple that with the fact that closed beta offers stat resets rather cheaply, it’s a sure way to level up nicely without ending up with a ‘broken’ character.

Granted, he has a Priest/krivis as partymate. He gets lots of powerful buffs from me allowing us to destroy mobs at shattering speeds. Mobs are the way to go since they make the most efficient use of your SP (currently doing Tenet Chapel 1F). Try to have an understanding partymate which acknowledges the need for SP recharge (and also finger rest lol) from time to time.

really archer is for experienced players im at lvl 60 and its still difficult u’d better change classes now …im only goin archer for rogue pvp

Since it’s the beta, you can re-spe your stats.

Go full SPR (50+) and CON (30) because auto atk is worse after level 40+ specialy when you will reach the chaptel. The mobs just have too much HP compared to the begining of the game, I kinda feel scammed lol.

Even without any DEXT or STR, I still kill the ennemies group with 2 barrages like before.

I tried in the begining STR+DEX, it was allright since I could count on auto-atk until I reached the second zone, I always had a good enhanced bow+5. The auto-atk showed its weakness against the Pronto first then it gotten worse in the chaptel. Even with my Gorito+5 I wasn’t killing fast enough monster in single target while I was a ranger circle 1 then 2.

So yeah, I’m playing like a mage now , lolt. I miss the hunter of Ragnarok online and his auto-pet.

I hope fletcher will be better because I’m not having fun on my ranger circle 2 at the moment (why the damn bomb as a such CD ?!) and hunter was the BIG let down for me.
