I can't stand the mindless grind.( Complaining)

This is true, I found bugs like a perma icewall blocking a purification pipe just because i got lazy grinding

If the grinding aspect of the game is getting really annoying, I’ve found that just having a fun and talkative party makes the whole process go by much more quickly.

But this test isn’t really about hitting end game or getting to the high level content. It’s more about just testing servers and getting feedback (like what Fate mentioned)

The fact that people at mere level 35 were in top 1000 should tell you that everyone else quit and that’s why they needed more testers. That’s how bad the grind is.

The grinding really is painful. Specially trying to level up a cleric with no party, haha :sleepy:

For us clerics especially circle 2 and 3 yeah solo is impossible. Need a prty of 3 or more.

Maybe this isn’t the kind of game for you, then? This isn’t some hand-holding WoW clone where you’re passed through levels like American schoolchildren through grades, you’re going to have to grind hard no matter what.

Even if the EXP rate was higher, there’s another 500+ levels waiting for you after, do you think that this game isn’t built to grind? :\

I agree. There are already tons of games that let you level quickly. Quests, EXP cards, and blue mobs should be a nice bonus and help give a directionless player some guidance but they shouldn’t replace having to grind. We have enough hub-hopping MMOs already and I’ve been waiting for this game because I thought it’d be different.

I don’t mind certain amount of grinding but the level of grinding is insane here plus despite all the grinding you don’t make progress. In other mmorpgs you grind yes but you also make progress.

Explain it to me what’s the point of grinding 10 level early on the game to make a tiny progress then grind another 10 levels? I’d like to hear where exactly is the point in that.

The grind you’re hitting now is just growing pains, hon. It’s just because, well to be honest, we all just kinda suck at the game right now. Heavens know even in release I’ll spend my time juggling alts like its DDO all over again and never get anywhere regardless.

People have already started getting themselves together and picking their characters up by their wonderfully-animated bootstraps, numerous streamers have easily powered to levels 80-100 in just two days by just playing their cards right, working with parties, and good game sense.

By the time the game actually comes out, we’ll have guides, wikis, and experience to turn that early game into a joke for even casual players!

Well if you like mindless grinding good for you.

For me i like progress for the amount of hours i put in a game.

Now i will be frank i consider this bad design. Having many levels with little content is pretty bad.

A good game has good pacing of course this is just cbt and hopefully in the next one they will increase by quite a bit. Otherwise they are going to lose a lot of costumers seeing just from the beta how many left already.

Not at the beta version of RO. Then it would take ages. Over the years our knowledge of RO’s systems has vastly increased. We know next to nothing of ToS, so take that into account.

If the game say: ā€œgrindā€ your will grind! OK?

If your boss say: ā€œworkā€ you go with your mum crying?

If i say go jump off a cliff you do so OK?

If you don’t like the game don’t play it… the game is based around grind if you don’t like it don’t play the game… what do you even want out of the game?? do you want to reach max level in a week and then stop playing the game ?? or do you want ot reach max level and then grind for the same amount for gear?? i don’t see how you can complain about it…

The purpose of this test is to test the basic of the game, which is basically : ā€œDoes the English client workā€
And to test the Steam infrastructure. Which is something self-publishing Korean Dev are not used too.

They have no intention of having us Rank 4 to 6 classes and its clearly obvious that the Korean’s have been given that job and not us. Our test was: ā€œDoes this ā– ā– ā– ā–  workā€

The Koreans have already clearly stated the grind is a little bit too hardcore, specially since most people did not even get to the 50% mark of levels.

the OPer’s point is he wants the early game not to be so grindy as the later higher level progression does…

i think (personal opinion/speculations) that IMC wants players in the 1st iCBT to play in parties rather than soloing from lvl 1-35, etc. or rather to train new comers how grind is hell in later games =3="

dosnt realy matter for me, i liked the game even if its grindy in early levels XD

I see you say this ā– ā– ā– ā–  again. You have been repeatedly say that there are people who easily reached level 100, I tell you this is full blown bullshit. These people you are referencing to are 100% from kCBT. I’m losing most of my patience to your bullshit so please stop pulling ā€œfactsā€ our of your ass.
