Iām thinking that the reason why we have such absurd mobs is simply because the devās do not create and test this stuff based on a normal character.
They probably run around in god mode or at least with the very best equipment and +25
They either donāt care or are too ignorant to consider what it is like for normal players

I am really disappointed, too.
I was so excited for the new R8 patch. All those new maps and fancy new classes/skills! But it all was nothing but a

I started with Alche 3 quest. We were a full party. (4 alches, 1 Healer). And it was Hell. Those Inner Wall DIstrict 9 (almost 20 lvl above me) hit like a truck. everything lagged, and everywhere those āPillar of darkness on steroidsā from monsters.
I had NO fun doing my Job advancement to Alche 3. (And the new attribute prices are INSANE!!! Where the hell should I get 2 million per level per attribute ?! IDK)
BUT halt: there is more of it:
I thought Alche 3 was a pain in the ass. NOPE

you have to use an Item (with like 10+ seconds cooldown and ANIMATION) to have a CHANCE to apply a debuff on the new mobs.
Oh and when the debuff hits, you have 5 (!!!) seconds to kill those steroid-monsters with mdef as high as Burj Khalifa !!!
I was screaming, panting and crying while doing this quest. I yelled at my screen and my boyfriend next to me. I cursed all other Players running on the same map/ch as meā¦
I was so frustrated I had to take a break after job change.
After more than 2 h of rest, my boyfriend persuaded me to at least try the new 290 dungeon.
MOBS ARE HORRIFYING !!! what the hell are wrong with them? They even risist Links.
Oh and yeahā¦ I linked one of those orbs, and the run failed! Nice, no more exp, or a cube for us. We just got ported outside.

I grabbed some alcoholic liquor and drank till everything was funny, closed the game and got some rest.
Oh and I get freezes of 2-5 seconds EVERYTIME a cleric casts divine might on me <-< I guess it is because of the Sekeltons, who cant be Higher as skill 5ā¦

Quests are broken, monster stats/hp/def are broken. New gear cant be crafted.
but at least we got 5 dungeon runs now, and higher silver drop-rateā¦ Well maintenace it is, it will get patched asap. Because thats the only thing they can do right nowā¦

I am also very disappointed, I donāt have the drive to make another character to right the wrongs of R8, after already making 7 R7 characters. I am pretty sure Iām not going to play at all unless there is a reset. 
Three months? Might be no one else for him to play with by then at this rate.

Grab a Thaumaturge 3 player.
Theyāll set you up with 500+ extra magic attack
Mob health is inflated so that you operate as a group on fields, Its just a wonder if its worth it from an exp perspective.
Given the increased exp range as well, this makes grouping on multiple different fields less cumbersome given you technically still get exp up to a 39 level difference.
This is very good for Clerics given their base healing capabilities mean theyāll fit in anywhere and really have no need to travel alone.
I super agree with the freezing bugs being BS.
Looking at this, there might be around 2,000 - 3,000 players left in 3 months time.
IMC really do not learn from anything, all of the trade restrictions scare most new players away from the game, and the half-assed bug-infested repo merge are going to annoy older players. And me personally, $9 a month for tokens and much more for cosmetics is far too much for a buggy dying game for me.
Nothing a QA team/test server and active GMs couldnāt solve, but I guess the concept of āYou need to spend money to make moneyā is lost on them.
