화랑 Hwarang Class - assumption becoz korean developer

Since IMC is refering to historical classes I would assume that IMC is making a Hwarang class which are similar to Knights/Samurai in the middle ages of Korea.

I assume its a swordsman class that will have taekwondo kicks as part of its skill animation.

if my spider sense are right Hwarang is going to be one of the last classes. Since koreans are surely going to save their best for last and posibly OP. since most game developers make the classes from their nations really OP.

Im looking at Russian tanks in World of Tanks(Russia), Braver/Samurai class in PSO2(Japan).

IMC had previous made a OP MMA character in Granado Espada which fighting style is Taekwondo and was the most OP MMA character in GE when it launched.

nah im thinking more like more like a swordsman that does taekwondo. But yeah if didnt know any better Hwarang kinda look like chinese warriors wielding katanas.

I didn’t knew about those Korean Hwarang warriors, do they really use kicks in real life? - I mean they have those swords and all… (lol)

i also loved tk , specially ranker, i was on euro for some months ranker and also wanted get ranker on iro, as most people were not really interested to be tk ranker, but its such a fun class, would be nice to see a taekwon cls there that fights with feet

Not exactly they are Mix Martial Arts character. Each of them has their own basic stance. Baek Ho/Baihu the strongest(in special ability and most OP in my opinion) has Taekwondo/Book of Wind as his basic stance.

But all MMA characters in Granado Espada at end game use ‘Martial Arts Compodium’ stance which is like general action movie ability animation set for MMA characters.

Koreans have their own historical swords, a hwarang class wouldn’t be using a katana. :blush:

It’s not about seeing the difference. It’s culturally offensive and ignorant to say things like Koreans don’t have their own martial traditions and have to resort to using Japan’s. A nation that has historically oppressed Korea and its culture. ): In fact most Korean media these days use weapons that are distinctively different from Japan’s and would more easily be mistaken for Chinese swords. :blush:

The problem is NO one(oridnary person) can see any difference. The latter, katana, is a more popular weapon than the korean sword. Hence any ordinary person will call the korean sword as katana aswell. On technical terms in english both swords can be classified as Sabres.

Didnt you see the topic of the post itself? I noted Hwarang because its one of the core historical warriors of history. And surely if IMC makes the class, they will make the Hwarang class really powerful. Why bash me on demeaning Korean culture?

There’s no bashing here. <: I was correcting the other people in the thread for using incorrect terminology that could be considered offensive. That you brought up ignorance as an excuse was what was unacceptable. Any normal person should know that a katana is a Japanese sword and not all Asians are Japanese.

I do, indeed, know the meaning of those words. However, I posted my initial reply because Japan and Korea are currently not on the best of terms due to their volatile history. So such comments (and the defense of them) could be taken a lot more seriously than you intended. :blush:

Also i doubt the common Korean and Japanese are really on bad terms its just the old people in the government holding on to grudges of the past.
