When I using Retrieve or Coursing
If it attack fail (too far or use skill and nothing happen)
My companion will stuck and not following me until I relog
It also happen If I ride on my companion and dismount

Pretty sure that’s always been a problem with all Hunter pets, unless they fixed it with the other ones since I’ve been away.
You can fix the bug by feeding your pet food from the companion NPC (sardines for penguins, bird feed for the bird, meat slices for velheider/hoglan). You can also temporarily get around it by using Hounding since it’ll force the pet to follow you, but it’ll go back to being frozen in place again as soon as it uses a different skill.

Just to add to what @BlueFlewQueen said. Put food in your inventory and LOCK it. Then feed your pet by clicking/using the menu when interacting with your pet.
This will unbug the pet without consuming the 5k value food in your inventory.
