Hey, guys. So… I want to change my Doppel into a Naruto Sparrow but first I’d to like to know how bad this combination is. My focus would be TBL, I’m not really worried pve-wise. I came up with this build. I want to know what you guys think of it and how should I distribute my stat points.

After reading a lot of things i found that going barb at rank 4 is move PvE than PvP, picking rodelero will give you shield charge for knockup things like clerics in safety zone and montano, a really good cc option, better than helm chopper because it have knockdown, slow and stun. You will have cc that counters things like bloodletting if you go the path of rodelero but you will lose your slash debuff, but the slash debuff wont be easy/optimal to apply on pvp (if they aren’t dealing with hard cc they will run away).
The problem of going rodelero is that you will have to change your subweapon to a shield for using shield charge (montano don’t need it ), and maybe in the future you will have more weapon restrictions with rank 9 ( but i hope they will give a rank reset, they did it for rank 8).
If you are going rodelero,you will have what i think its a “better bash” (montano) i think you can put the points in bash into double slash to compensate your bunshin burst for pve reasons, i dont think you will be using bash having montano and also shield charge as better CC tools (you just will use it if you have all in CD but i think that you will be already death if that happens because it is not a tank build).
For stats points due the fact that you will have concentrate, some skills that works with aspd and also the fact that you will need some block pen, i think you can go 1:1 str/dex ( str is for accuracy ), atleast is what i’m doing with this build.
I reccommend getting con with gear and not with points and i think that plate armor is the best option (maybe leather can be good too).

I see… Lots of good points, I hadn’t thought about Barbarian vs Rodelero, but if it is as you said I’m Rodelero does look a lot better.
If STR is only for accuracy, isn’t 1:1 a bit too much?
Also, how is the distribution for the Corsair and Shinobi skills looking? I’m kinda on the fence about not taking Keel Hauling, Jolly Roger and DWA…
There are some standard builds on tosbase you can find.
I’d recommend taking those points out of bash and putting them into double slash, it synergizes well with shadow clone if you can get it right.
Take 1 point in keel hauling, jolly and dwa don’t really matter for pvp but you can put 1 point in each for leveling if you want.
I’ll second what Genryu said about switching Barb to Rode for Shield Charge.
Shinobi skills are basically right. Kunai and Bunshin have to be 5, the others are just your preference.
STR isn’t just for accuracy. After the patch, DEX builds aren’t as viable since they don’t contribute to crit rate anymore, and since crit attack is a pretty weak stat.
Saharhis, a high-ranked Shinobi Corsair on Orsha, is using a 3:1 STR:DEX build with 50 or so CON right now. She says it’s working pretty well, but it’s subject to change since no one really knows which stat setup is best right now.

*About rodelero decision: I will take the risk and i will go rodelero because i think its the most optimal choice for PvP right now, but i hope that they will give us a double weapon class like corsair because corsair haven’t a clear path to follow unlike other classes and if you go corsair c3 you must go with a rank 7 class because you haven’t anything in rank 8 to go, and i bet that they will solve this in rank 9. If not, as i said, the most logical answer from the team is give to us a rank reset like they did for the same reason after the release of rank 8. I will add that right now, swapping for one skill isn’t a big deal and you can use guard. But make a good decision for you, you will loose a lot of potential without your bunshin+ cleave + double slash combo in PvE and barbarian don’t have a weapon restriction for future ranks.
*About stats: It seems that adding 2 points in str give you 1 in acurracy and 2 in dex is giving 1 block pen, so i know, 1:1 seems worthless for str because dex is giving more things to you but if you don’t have a good str I think you won’t be hitting archers or dex tanks. I think going 1:1 in PvP is the safest distribution because you will found a lot of swordmans, mages and clerics with high con and also archers and swordmans with high dex, you will need both, block pen and accuracy.
*About skills in corsair: I think that you can put 2 points from hook to jolly roger , you will gain the attribute ( useless if you don’t have other corsairs in team) and you will have more damage with pistol shot ( and your party members will have also more damage with missil attacks), also you can put 1 point more from hook into dwa, but i think it is useless in pvp and in the late game in pve you will have a good skill rotation with few seconds to use basic attacks.
If you don’t use more than 3 points ( 3 seconds ) from iron hook, i think it will still have a good duration, but dont put points into keel hauling, remember the attribute of hook, you need to always hook 3 targets in pvp and you won’t be able to use keel hauling if you have that attribute.
*About skills in shinobi: i think that your points are good, yes you can throw away one point from mijin to mokuton, but who knows, maybe the suicidal attack for another stealth skill can give you more engage chances for some situations in pvp ,and 1 point more into mokuton for 5 more seconds of duration i fount it useless (30 seconds is really good for a cd of 35 and the fact that it only apply the effect one time).

Yeah, I agree. It’s very likely that they’ll give us a rank reset when r9 arrives.
Now I don’t think that DWA, Keel hauling and Jolly Roger are worth it haha I guess I’ll stay with Hook
Yep, that’s pretty much what I though. I’ll get Mijin for the stealth option in PvP
