How valuable is Spirit to a Wizard?

I’ve been doing a lot of research in whether or not Spirit is a dead stat.

The two main points I’ve gathered are:

People in favor of Spirit for Wizards say:

Obviously a good balance (Either 2:1 or 3:1) of Intelligence:Spirit is good because it allows for a more sustained damage output due to not running out of mana.

People not in favor of Spirit say:

What’s the point in Spirit if Mana Potions are so cheap/strong? Instead of spending points in Spirit, put them in Intelligence and just have a healthy supply of Mana Potions.

What is your opinion?

It honestly depends on what classes you plan to get for a sorcerer it doesnt have much value at all due to how summons block mana regen so we chug potions all day every day for other circles it depends on how much you need to comfortably play. Personally i dont go for much spirit and prefer to go mostly int.
