How to type chinese in Tree of Savior

Hello, recently i have a few friends from taiwan. I wanted to type chinese to them so that they can understand, but unfortunately, the chinese i typed out appears to be symbols. Before that, when they type chinese to me, i could not see, all i can see is " *** " (small x to be precise) After i googled for solution and apply changes on fonts, i can see chinese. but when i tried to type it appears in symbols.
what i want is my ui is remain as english at the meantime i can see and type chinese. Any solutions?

easier way to do is change your pc locale to chinese

you’re using pinyin? or wad chinese input did u use?

japanese and korean aren’t working for me either… I’m guessing its something with the font

i just tried out changing the system locale, it seems like it’s working for me. Perhaps before i’m using singapore chinese. I switch to hong kong traditional chinese and i can type chinese in game ! So in order to type and view chinese u PERHAPS you need to change the font (information from 巴哈) and than like AlterZero Said, change the system locale. This is what i tried out.

I suppose i celebrate it too early now. After i restart my computer, the chinese thingy seems to jumped off… like when im typing 你好, it change to other chinese words. i tried to fixed it tho…but,it aint working

thats weird, you using pinyin? if you change your locale to Traditional Chinese(HK/TW) the words will come out different. try change to Simplified Chinese(china) and google pinyin if you want type Traditional Chinese ingame
