thanks IMC for fixing BLOCK but now IMC, we got RESIST LAWL

till post 390 when nema set becomes useless, all classes have to deal with resist so im not sure if this is an issue.
I don’t think the issue is so much resist, it’s that sometimes you do not see a “resist” but they do not get CC’d.
No idea why, though I wonder if it’s due to other immunities (teleport etc) or if they are simply jumping.
Only seems to happen with wiegen/disso. CCs on other classes show the resist like normal–I think even with teleportation it shows a “miss” but I haven’t been able to PVP in a week or two to formally test.
Also possible that the range is reduced in TBL? No idea.
resisting status effects is still fairer than the cc these status effects provide (e.g. sleep, freeze, stun), as you can get destroyed by a volley of status effects applied to you after each other.
In my opinion, there isn’t enough resistance to debuffs like crush or crown, which can lead to your downfall for no fair reason.
Some Classes/builds can just destroy you with CC and debuffs (especially Cata>Lancers), Appraiser is one of them.
On the other hand, resisting some debuffs like curse is unreasonable, as the debuff doesn’t really cripple your character, compared to other debuffs.
Also, a curse that can be resisted is not a curse at all (being affected by it is the definition of curse, a curse doesn’t exist if there is no-one affected by it).
It also is strange because it defies the notion that magic always hits, but if the only effect is resisted, then it didn’t even hit in the first place.
All in all it’s worthless to talk about PVP, the developers have proven that they don’t really care about balancing PVP at all, giving some Classes overpowered abilities for PVP (especially Lancer, Retiarius, Peltasta, Plague Doctor, Appraiser) and don’t even care about solving the riding issue (i.e. there is basically no mean to unmount a riding character, who can hit and run until you die if it’s an Archer or rush and CC you if it’s a Swordsman), not to speak about not removing the movement speed boni of mounts, so characters are equally fast in PVP.
There’s also the issue of inequality of Falcon vs. Hunter companion vs. zombie vs other summons, where zombies are the hardest to summon and the hardest to keep up in PVP because of no defence and no HP and can be destroyed while the attacking Falcon cannot be attack by any means.
Either immortality for all minor summons and companions or none, Falcons should lose their immortality when they dive down to attack so you can actually take them down (and please kill them similar to zombies, so they don’t come back unless you use a food on them).
For riding Classes, the companions should be targeted and damaged first (before the player) by any ground target magic circles and skills (e.g. Scatter Caltrops, Aqua Benedicta), so when their HP hit 0, the riding Class is forcibly unmounted and the companion is stunned for a few seconds.
There is not enough tactics in PVP in general.
Some things have too many counters, some don’t have any counters at all,
some mechanics are not working at all (e.g. channeling upkeep without being interrupted) while others are too boosted (disabling debuffs/cc skills).
Sw1>Pelt2>Cata3>Lancer3 shouldn’t be able to dominate PVP with OP single target damage, debuff immunity, block penetration, tripled damage with Crush and Quintainn, knockdown, shield removal, riding, doubled defence and 20% damage reduction, Impaler and silence cc and high movement speed and movability with skills.
Did you ever heard of sage/retiarius? Or maybe zealot? Geez…
Lol how the hell did that shitty reply get the solution? You clearly don’t play lancer, and you also didn’t complain about kino sages (which is way worse). You are out of touch with the reality of PVP. Reti proves to be far more powerful in PVP pound for pound. who is your ingame character if i may ask? I just can’t understand where all these PVP experts come from when TBl is ■■■■■■■ half dead.
exactly what I said, he’s butthurt and trying to bring down lancers. when you got sage kinos walking around clicking on people from /zplus zoom 400+ and 1 shotting them. the swordsmen has arguably the highest skill ceiling of all the classes (a melee class with 8 degrees of of freedom in your skills). if you want to survive a cataphract lancer get some knockdown resist and dont expect to go toe to toe with people who are trans 10 if you aren’t.
Lancers are a symptom of a different problem that we’ve discussed to death, but they themselves aren’t the problem.
Has nothing to do with the random resists that don’t say resist.
