While afking in Boruta cave I just had this amazing idea how to turn Boruta into actually good and fun and awesome content while keeping the PVE and PVP aspect.
Make Boruta not Guild vs Guild but Server vs Server.
(For all who know Dark Souls this is inspired by it)
Imagine the Dragon sends spirit from other worlds to defend him then the players of a server unite to tear down Boruta while defeating invading spirits. IMC could cap each Boruta instance to let’s say 50 players at the same time to make it playable and you can queue in and choose if you either want to fight Boruta and the invading spirits or whether you want to invade another server.
I think this would be amazing. Then those who want to do some aggressive PVP can invade and try to kill and those who want PVE can simply choose to fight Boruta and still have some pvp which doesn’t quite feel like it.
Yes there will be some ping but to be honest with let’s say 40 (30 fighting Boruta, at most 10 invading for example) players on the screen, given the engine, it doesn’t matter that much.
There could be 8 hours for every server of Boruta resting time then there would always be a server to invade (given 3 servers at least).
Rewards can be the same. Guild contribution, player contribution. Maybe add a server contribution on top of it but not necessary.
This would keep the basic concept of pvp with pve but on the other hand give:
- every player matters
- more player interaction
- less salt
- actually interesting and thrilling because you will want your server to be the best
- limit fighters at the same time make sure it’s decently balanced
