How to improve ToS?

My 2 cents on how to improve Tree of Savior. Please note that I know that many of those ideas already have been given by other players but maybe by reading them many times IMC will take actions :

-More events.

-Less knockback monster and ability, also add a cooldown (can only be knockback once every 10 sec).

-Less frozen time, reduce the maximum time you can be frozen to 3sec, with a a same cooldown as knockback.

-Untradable items can be put in team storage.

-Team storage do not require a token to be used anymore.

-You can now buy 1 slot of team storage for 200k/each, to a maximum of 30 slots.

-Reduce the TP prices (previously 10$ for 100 tp, now 5$ for 100 tp) - Who wants to pay 20$ for a haircut that only one character can use?

-Add a barber that can change your hairstyle for free (only for the basics cuts not the tp one).

-Add more hair color and eyes color with new achievement.

-Bigger patches // Balances patches

-IP ban the bots.

-Sorcerer summon no longer remove sp regen (but still drains your mana), but afk farming is now bannable.

-Add collections for all maps who do not have them already.

-Add team league (we’ve been seeing the Team league reset message between loading screen for months, seriously).

-Add more quest from 200 + and onward (classes like Alchemist cannot lvl anymore past lvl 225 because no group will accept them, they need more quest to be able to lvl).

-Add a Goddess teleport statue on every map (how boring is it to have to walk 3 map to get where you want to go).

-Monster xp cannot give you below 50% of normal xp when you outlvl them (which is at 15 lvl higher than the monster). You can now farm monster below your lvl for a bit of xp if you like the spot or want to farm a specific item.

-Monster 10 lvl higher than you now gives you 100% normal xp, but you no longer gain xp from monster 11 lvl and higher than you.

-The bonus for randomized party in dungeon is now given to premade parties also to encourage playing with your friends.

-Balance the dungeon xp wise (increase the number of monster of low popularity dungeons such as 160, 175, 200, etc).

-Increase the number of channels of high population maps (such as bee farm, demon prison, alemeth forest, evac, etc).

-Reduce the Alchemist, Pardonner, Squire tax which is currently 50% to 20%.

-Add enchant scrolls to be dropable by any monster at a very low rate like the golden anvil.

-Make the mystery box from mission actually be able to drop something good. Remove all the trash like dilgeles and add more items, or make it like a lotto (Example : 20% to get 30k silver, 20% to gain a random white items of your lvl range, 20% to get a talt, 5% to get a blue item of your lvl, 5% to get an enchant scroll, 5% to get an exp tome, 1% to get a purple or orange recipe of your lvl, etc.)

-Remove the prices limit on items in the market.

-Make boss cards and monsters gems tradable.

-Add more dungeon for people who do not like to quest all the time (lvl 25 dungeon, lvl 75, lvl 260 are just examples).

-Dungeon and mission random parties now require of cleric class, you can toggle this option off if you prefer.

-Upgrading an item with an anvil still cost 1 potential and the money, but no longer remove -1 to the item (how demoralizing it is to have a +7 item and go back to +6). The chances to upgrade item has been lowered to a maximum of 30% at +10 and over.

-Add stats reset potion to the TP shop.

-No longer loses self-buff when switching channel.

-Add a rebirth option. If you decide to rebirth your character to lvl 1, you gain a permanent xp bonus for your new character. It would encourage people who leveled a character to 220 for example and find out they messed up to be recycled. You could get an additionnal 10% xp bonus for every 100 lvl your character achieved, or 0.1%/level if you prefer.

If you have feedback to those ideas, please feel free to share your opinion.

Balance stuff a bit, fix server/game network problems, have people actively in game banning bots.

How to improve ToS?

If it was up to me, I’d just start expanding each of the maps to take up a more realistic amount of real-estate. Like, I wish I could be hired by IMC to just spend all my free time expanding the boundaries of the maps to include all the flat areas you mysteriously cannot walk on. Fixing weird collision boxes along the way.

If we start getting weird mechanics like this, you’ll end up with a system that’s about as much fun as ESO’s combat system. Which, for the record, is not fun.

We already have this.

Who wants to pay 20$ for a haircut that only one character can use?

Haircuts ARE tradeable via team storage.

-IP ban the bots.

-Add a Goddess teleport statue on every map (how boring is it to have to walk 3 map to get where you want to go).

Fast Travel is hit & miss depending on who’s playing. I absolutely despise fast travel in most instances. But in the case of ToS, it at least makes boring quests less tedious.

-Make the mystery box from mission actually be able to drop something good. Remove all the trash like dilgeles and add more items, or make it like a lotto

It is like a lotto, you lose all the time.

Give it the A Realm Reborn treatment

Get a professional mod for the forums, it can’t continue like this, every week is the same ■■■■.

Stat rework

  • str should hit damage bonuses every 10/20 str, same with int

  • con should scale status resist AND lower cc duration up to 100% at max

  • either make an agi stat that increases atk speed or put it into dex

  • spr should lower cdr

  • remove all global cooldowns and make everything more reliant on managing your mana pool

  • remove cooldowns on potions (allow them to be spammable)

Class and Skill reworks

  • Make every class have a support counterpart. it gives far more options to players that like supporting, but maybe not in the traditional sense.

  • Make supporting MORE fun and active. Give clerics at the base class the ability to block long-range projectiles in an area, the ability to spam a targetable cc recovery spell on allies, a haste-like ability (this one is a must), make blessing actually give stats rather than damage, and let clerics be able to amplify the damage of ally spells. also give priests the ability to shield an ally.

  • -give monks a gap closer, target spells (not ground/area spells)

  • rework mage spells to scale off INT much more closely. this will make it so wizards have to build glass cannon to do damage.

  • -i’ve never made a swordsman, but they don’t seem very appealing to me. can’t really say much. make a true swordsman support class that can take damage for people much like physical link.

  • -make a true archer support class. they can influence stats such as atk speed, cdr, and the likes

  • -make an assassin class. i don’t want a swordy based shinobi or an archer based assassin. i want a real assassin class archetype.

Leveling

*make a consumable item or equipment that allows the ability to spam teleport on maps so you can get to places faster

*give monsters more and better loot that sell for more silver

  • remove exp penalties

  • increase mobs on all maps

*dedicate some maps to be good for duoing, trioing, or large-scale parties

  • rework monster aggro. monsters should be able to clump up to you in masses of 10-20+.

  • make harder dungeons

  • increase party cap to 10-12 (increase exp bonus)

  • make more ways to increase monster exp through classes, gear, etc. rework thauma swell body so maybe it’s a true aoe around the character and increases all monster exp and loot by 200% in a wide area.

*give max level characters something to show off they are max level on their characters. the simplest way would be to make the char glow.

Guilds, pvp, and gvg

  • add pvp arena
  • add gvg arena (add a purpose so the less pvp inclined actually pvp out of loyalty to their guild)
  • add guild emblems
  • add more information on guild menu complete with member portraits, classes, and levels
  • add realms with guild dungeon that have pk enabled - allow enemies to also be able to come into map
    *host a weekly guild tourney complete with treasures, stats, etc.
    *host pvp events that give competitive players incentive to take part

Equipment

    • make more elemental equipments
  • -have equipments that give classes unique skills (some good for pve, some for pvp)

Market

  1. remove commission fee
  2. remove waiting on retrieving funds of sold items
  3. display seller name so people can investigate potential bots and such

Wrapped quite nicely

Leveling Progress
Lv1-100
Too many boring quests
Give more random events like Grynas/Storage, but with more innovative ideas.
Lv100-200
Too rely on boring mercenary mission with annoying boss.
Dungeon 115/130/145 are very exhaustive while 160 is too bad. 190/200 Dungeon is the most optimal
Lv200-280
Too rely on grinding and specific builds, non-meta most likely stuck. Saalus Convent is more fun but no exp/drop is failure (as well as not tradeable within same account) , and it need to push earlier to 230 because most peoples quit after R7 and boring of Mercenary Mission.

  • The leveling progress must be optimized to make it smoother and more friendly.

Boss
Make WB more epic, increase knock-back cooldown, cast more ground magics or projectiles that require players to avoid.

Class
Improve Class that underwhelming
Paladin
Monk
Thaumaturge (Swell right arm must apply on pistol/cannon or any other offhand)
Falconer
Swordsman - basically except cataphract/dragoon
Archer need new ‘utility class’ to train your pet and make them more useful in battle, like unlock their skills.
We need a musical class (or the new 5th tree beside archer/swordsman/wizard/cleric), probably bard? that can compose music and make the community and town more lively.

Market
Remove the 48h silvers retrieve, or 12h is enough

Bot
We understand it is difficult to tackle field bots
But town bots must be eliminated asap, anti-spam function must be implemented.

Can I ask something…

can you type and walk or do you have to stop and sit when you text on your cell?_?

Get support for steam workshop.

Make the stat system more dynamic.

Dont put silly scaling stat attributes like int for Finestra unless you really a making a magic swordsman class.

If you are going to make a contest do contests like costume designing or something that is more memorable than an art contest that will be a loading screen that noone cares in the end.

What is the silver lining of afk farming? Can I walk in circles and still let my TS farm? Can I walk up wait a few seconds, down a few seconds and then stand still? Can I sit at a campfire and say I’m regenerating health and in this case my SP? What is defined as afk farming here?
