Very nice.
Don’t be discouraged from playing by those kinds of stuff . Well, unless you think ToS is a game focused on PvP. What server are you planning to choose anyway?
Like, not being offensive here but…
If it’s just fear of new exploits it isn’t a nice thing to try to point fingers at everyone and call “exploit”.
Some things are strange and suspicious, yeah I agree. But it stops at that.
Taking it to the humble way of calling it suspicious or reporting and asking STAFF via PMs or ticket to check weapons you think that could be exploited is a far better move.
For example: Most old people understands that weapon enhancement exploits were fixed. Let’s say, by chance, you actually find a real exploited weapon but can’t find proof, you have no data, we have no data.
If you go all out “it’s exploited”. Automatically some will assume you’re just doing the same a lot of people been always doing and ignore you for good because it’s likely it’s an idea fixed in the past channel crash exploit, especially if you talk about that. It can be counter-productive.
Now let’s say you actually reported it to STAFFs and they find out it was actually a new exploit.
Result: player caught, logs checked, bug fixed.
Uhh last time I PMed a staff I got a generic reply, a big waste of time.
I haven’t directly pointed anyone yet for exploit, but again I still doubt that these things are legit.
I like being public, actions become much faster if done this way.
Remember the famous exploiter telling the everyone about the channel crash command? see how it got fixed fast? It’s a bad way of doing it, but at least it got fixed in less than a week. If you PM a staff, I wonder how long would that take, starting from a generic reply?
once again speaking on related topic, the fact that we had a public command to crash channels makes me even more suspicious of even more unwidely known exploits, this is why I never call people dumb for being suspicious of these things, which the other person did.
the only reason i’d want an uberplused weapon is for me to get strong enough that i can get 10 different circle 1 classes while having good performance with c1 skills XD
but really, i don’t get why these people would make it less fun by eliminating the challenge. well, they’re only eliminating their own fun anyway
(i keep pressing the wrong reply button, sorry @LunarRabbit ‘w’;; )
i can confirm that his bow is legit, if he can hack he would anvil his solmiki staff +40 not that purple old HG. And lots of +20 or above weapon nowadays use things that are called diamond anvils, not exploit. It’s 2018 already and i can’t believe people still think that channel crashing abuse is still a thing…
That’s also partly the problem though.
Give it to an intelligent person and he’ll stop at “possible” levels.
Give it to someone dumb/without self control he’ll go wild not knowing anyone can figure out what it is directly.
So I’m never really sure anymore because this is Tree of Savior. I just want the devs/staff to be more transparent
That bow is just a fodder thing for his solmiki staff when silver anvil + diamond anvil event is on and he didnt know what to do with those spare event silver anvils. Sometimes people are just lucky, and he had a +6 0 pot solmiki shield too.
tfw
upgrade seriously = +6 0potential quips
upgrade because i got these anvils i dont know where to use them and they’re going to expire soon = +16 with 1 fail
dont get me started on clover destruction
You keep saying this, but transparent about what? No developer would ever give explanations on how bugs/exploits are performed, whether they exist, or details on ones that are patched that are harmful to the game. IMC is no exception and I’m not sure what you’re even looking for here. You’re no better than the other people at this point when you’re repeatedly giving plausibility to hacks and exploits that do not exist (for refining).
Misquoting me is not funny or interesting.
Now let’s say you actually reported it to STAFFs and they find out it was actually a new exploit.
Result: player caught, logs checked, bug fixed.
xD
Last time I PM’d a staff about items in market seeming to be from a net of bots transfering silver to each other actually made the same names stop appearing after some days lol
Be transparent about bug fixes, state of the game, what’s actually happening.
Yes I’m no better than them, you think I’ll stay calm and normal after everything that happened? No. Dismissing everything thinking that the game is in an OK state is much worse.
They don’t even need to show how they are performed, just confirmations that they exist or if they are in progress of fixing it, again most of them are hidden under the rug.
It isn’t fun to lose friends, I’m actually very mad right now when I just made new ones.
We keep on losing old players, new players come and try to queue lower level dungeons and think the game is dead. Devs are doing things too slow, very little progress updates, very little bug acknowledgements, see what I mean on being transparent?
I remember before we didn’t want a publisher to handle the game and let IMC take it, it’s because we “could” get updates faster, but what happened? A publisher might have been better because there’s a contract. Sigh
You basically explained what i think in the last sentence you wrote.
I played a game called Microvolts for 6 years (2010-2016), devs(korean) and publisher(Canadian). basically 0 communication between the two. The only good thing was the Mods team and the community manager (do we have one in TOS?)
Then it closed, without even an announcement, and i thought TOS was far better.
When i joined in summer 2016 the Q&A were weekly, it was fine.
I just feel the same as 3-4 years ago
There was a monster hunter event that people could get diamond anvils, attribute points (some people got 300kk on attribute point) there was no limit on the cube event and people could basically get a ■■■■ ton of diamond anvils from the event by upgrading their pet… Those anvils also lasted until r9 came so it was easy to use on 350 weapons and get +21 or higher. It was the most dumb event and our server was a test for it since ktos got it a few weeks ago with nothing broken like that.
I agree with you on the other things. But…
No one is doing this. That is a troll/etc saying on forums and you most likely blindly follow that.
Just a quick note on how doomposting/trolling make bad feelings go far worse.
That’s why you talk about existing stuff. They already posted about it back then, they fixed it, many old players that logs in every day confirms that the exploit people keep talking about is highly unlikely to exist.
There are even coding explanation to how easy it is to fix:
Just save the weapon state right after enhancing instead of when changing channel/maps/disconnecting.
Everyone understands how frustrated you are and they share the same feelings in different ranges.
I have friends who left the game after they started to repeat troll sayings like a recorder machine until they eventually got tired.
I know, you know, the main reason is that issues exists. Yeah.
But you’re giving the very example of how bad repetitive trolls posts affects and amplifies your bad feelings.
We all understand how you feel about that.
But please, stop to think, what is there to gain to keep redoing trolls step with lies or overestimated stuff? What are you really doing?
Answer: Probably making a close friend or another quit out of reading/listening to you repeating troll’s sentences like a recorder machine.
You don’t need to go down that route. For you’ll be taking part in actually making the exact thing you’re frustrated about far worse.
Yeah. It was just like that.
But, did you actually kept looking at what happened? Most people I know that saved anvils actually didn’t get Masinios recipes in time.
I know it isn’t your intention, but this is another example on how your words can trick people into generalizing and saying “everyone that got a ton of diamond anvils used all anvils and got a lot of +21 masinios gear”.
Just another example of what I’ve been saying ^, altho not as bad but can have the same overestimating effect if someone spreads that way.
The choice of words is actually a powerful thing.
Lies, rumors, etc…
This is how it actually all began, i do not want to bring this up anymore but for the sake of discussion…
Initially many thought DPK was a lie, a lot of people saying it’s pure RNG, “no Dev would implement that”, etc.
Luckily there are dataminers and dedicated people ready to test things out, I myself did because it’s the worst drop system you could do in the game and initially I did not believe it as well.
At the start, the staff team lied (or maybe they themselves did not know) about dpk. Later on devs admitted to it and proposed different drop systems. Again, problem with transparency.
These things start with rumors or suspicions to get things started.
A rumor will remain a rumor, lies will remain lies, I’ll do everything on my part to find things out, if I don’t, they’ll remain a rumor, a lie. That’s why I’m still playing, if by chance I found a real issue that’s not been acknowledged for weeks, months, I’ll leave, similar to DPK system that made me quit before.
They need to limit the upgrading cap to +15 to avoid that crap and get rid of ridiculous Trascendence in pro to keep the game’s difficulty/challenge/fun
Prove to me that there ISNT someone out there exploiting with some unknown method to get +26 weapons easily.
Checkmate, Atheists.
Smells like hook. Hook64.
Diamond anvil + hook64 feature.
