EDIT - try verify your game files via steam first!
Friend was stuck in his lodge on two characters after entering the same map twice… it would crash on the loading screen.
Since i had done these zones twice with no problems i told him to reinistall the game, and my god it worked.
My theory is that some peoples game files have been corrupted in certain maps over time possibly in patches.
