The only idea I have - anvil upgrade till X potential left, where X is a number of possible sockets in item.
Socketing X gems (getting item to 0 potential).
Upgrading with golden anvil till you are out of silver

And any idea what level of gems I should socket to weapons at 170+ 220+ 260+ items? It’s hard to level gems even to 5 for me now (or I’m doing something wrong in this case) So was going to socket 5th level gem to Ignition, and using no golden anvils on it…
