How to deal with SP problem with wizard?

There isn’t any SP recovery skill, only can rely on SP pot which is expensive…

except sitting down, is there any other way for wiz to spam skill?

The Spirit stat of a character determines SP and SP recovery rate. So you have to learn how to balance Int and Spirit. Most classes need two stats anyway. So it shouldn’t be too different from other classes.

i am now level 15, and my INT and spirit almost on par… i wonder if i should focus on sprit first…

Int determines your spell AND attack damage for wizards though. So don’t focus on Spirit too much or else you won’t do much damage.

people are streaming the cbt right now

Unfortunately, raising your Max SP and using SP Potions are the only way to help manage your SP. I’m a Wizard myself (now Pyromancer) and I chose to invest all my points into INT as I’d rather kill stuff faster before my SP drains away.

Or get a dievdirby friend who has maxed zemina carve

It should become more playable later. You’re not really meant to solo, though. The game, devs, and jobs/classes, are pushing this idea of working together. As well as the removal of inifinite stamina. So, get used to working with others. Caster classes aren’t really a soloable class. Unless they make it so that casters can have “infinite mana” like in WoW and FFXIV.

Mages in WoW dont really have infinite mana though :joy: . At least from what I remember on Wrath of The Lich King Expansion.

Play a str wizard obviously.

Not literally infinite, but with the proper rotation mana wasn’t a problem. Unless they changed that. I quit a couple years ago. The game became bland and felt outdated as do all MMOs older than 5 years.

I wonder if it’s possible for wizards to equip swords. I have a flame sword wizard build on tosbase that I want to test out IF I get into CBT.

I am half trolling when I say this, but become a Thaumaturge. When out of SP, take up a sword, cast transpose and hit away.[or you could just try bashing using your weapon]

The problem with this is that Thaumaturge uses rods in the video as well. So I still don’t know if they can use swords. And yes, I have that class in my build for that specific reason. Lol.

Just Use Lighting Bolt :relaxed:

how you’re going to transpose if you don’t have Sp? hummm??

Honestly, I would suggest partying up with a cleric. It’s typical of most MMOs that a DPS class always parties with a heal/support class. That support class often has buffs that increase your classes stats and for heals.

It looks like heals in this game do damage to enemies and heals allies but consumes a tile space regardless of which occurs. So, the clerics damage can help alleviate the use of your SP as a wizard.

I’m sure there will be times though that you will both need to rest and regen SP, especially if the map gets hectic.
