How to deal with GOLD SELLER's when ToS is F2P?

Well F2P may have it’s good and bad sites but one thing is for sure:

When ToS gets F2P tons of Bot’s will come, and it will be on a whole different level as we can observe it now.

I don’t know how the publisher want to deal with this, but in my opinion the better way would be making ToS B2P, like now.
Because like this, the Gold Seller’s have to buy the game version, which is everytime new profit for the publisher + The number of Bot’s will be limited.

I really hope there’s a good plan from the publisher how to deal with the gold sellers but when it comes to F2P, i don’t see any other solultion.
It will be a doomed cycle.

Ps: What does IMC do with people which buy gold ? They should be permantly banned as well, because of those people the gold sellers rate is increasing.

make shouting lv200 requirement lol easy, make the botter level up to 200 so that they can shout but then evenually they gonna get ban in like few hours??? Therefore properly they wont wan to be wasting time to level to 200 n get ban in like few hours?

yup at least b2p makes it controllable and lessens the bots once it goes f2p the numbers would triple, which some people will never understand

But shouting is not the only thing they use.
Besides shouting they use whisper and normal chat to spamm.
Because why should they only shout, if they can reach all people in the cities ?

well almost all game have bot flooding the cites… there is relli no way to prevent that, unless they is some super gm cop that can insta ban gold spammer in cities

Terrible idea. People sell or trade stuff on shout and players below level 200 are useful for alerting for world bosses in low level areas. During the first week no bots were spamming normal in the city, only shout. They made the requirement level 40 for shout, bots appeared in town and spammed normal.

Thats why we need a limitation like B2P.
And i guess an instant bann wouldn’t help.

Thats because you would only remove the spammbot’s but not the root of the problem and that would be these guys which actually have the gold and sell it.
I believe thats one of the reasons why IMC needs a bit time to bann those guys, because they investigate if they can find those gold holders.

well every game problem is gold bot spammer… not much way to prevent it reli b2p or f2p it the same, jut tat b2p will have lesser gold spam bot .
Only way is using those addon mod which help block gold spammer shout, quite useful though, if imc implement that addon as a patch for next client update, integrate it tgt.

Every problem has a solution.
And as i already said (And you too in the end of your sentence), B2P and F2P is not the same, because IMC will get profit for every new created account.
F2P only keep increasing gold sellers and decreasing the profit for IMC.

That would be a good approach for a solution.

Funny but not really helpful.
When the gold seller’s will outnumber the admin’s in F2P, not even Thor could help them.
It would be like an endless instant spawn for bots.

Yet another dumb thread of the day… obviously you deal with them the way you do it now. What you gonna expect as answers? Dance around the bots 3 times?

Actually B2P wont stop them but why not let them pay for it? IMC get the money and the game will live longer. We get more updates etc. Worst case would be going f2p and 1-2 Month later 90 % quit because massive bots + retarded ppl who actually buy from them which is p2w.

Damn i hate bots but i hate the ppl who buy silver even more. I mean whats the point in playing an mmo when you buy all your stuff with cash.

Korean version requires a native phone number registered to play right? just do the same thing here. Require a text or phone verification to make a free account. Its not 100% sure fire, but it will darn sure reduce it.

Gold sellers will buy with cloned credit cards and a refund will be issued when its owner realizes the purchase(s). By the time a refund is issued, their bots would already have accomplished their purpose. :grin:
