As far as i know, to cancel out the effects of Mackangdal after using it, you gotta cast Safety Zone, but to counter the nullified damage effect, you gotta push them out of Safety Zone.
The only other thing I can think of is holding them with Telekinesis or being Raised and wait till their Mackangdal runs out.
So my question is, what are the other ways in order for you to counter a Mackangdal user while they still have the buff up?
snowball might be able to roll them out
sappers can detonate safety zones and most opponents are oblivious if you have one on their team so they wont expect safety zone from exploding, then cyro can cc or archers can deal 1hko. teamwork makes the dream work, but in TBL everyone does their own thing.
Remove their Safety Zone with Counterspell and watch them die. The most evil way to do it.

Not sure if a bug or not, but falconers/hunters can bypass my safety zone every time.
Can someone else test this?
Falcon attack skills (at least for hovering as I’ve tested) can knockback even those in safety zone.
Impaler goes through as well.
I can confirm that retrieve does bypass your safety zone, however it does not damage you until you’re out of the zone. as for falcons they lift you out of the zone no matter what with hovering.
