How should I go about doing things? Krivis/Bokor help and questions

Hi everyone.

My plan is to go

Cleric - Krivis3 - Bokor3, and when Rank 8 comes, Taoist Priest. (don’t scold me about not having Cleric 2, this is not meant to really be a support character as cleric 2 doesn’t really mesh well with Bokor in the first place)
When I get this character to 280, which will probably take a month and a half because of how slow I am, rank 8 will probably have come out by then.

But, I have no idea what order I should be doing things by rank, nor the stat allocation I should use.

Should I go:
Krivis 3 - Bokor 3 first

Krivis - Bokor2 - Krivis2 - Bokor3 - Krivis3

Krivis - Bokor3 - Krivis3

What do you think I should do? Personally, I’m leaning towards the last option so that I could have max Samedevive as well as Damballa, but Zaibas will still be only able to hit one target.

I also have a question on my stat allocation.

I’m going to have 100 con like most clerics do. But do I go max int after that? Krivis is magical, Taoist Priest is magical, while Bokor is a hybrid of the two. Also, what level zombify should I get for damballa? The more zombies = more damage right? So should I have 5 hexing, 15 effigy, 9 samedevive, 1 tet mamak la, 1 Bwa Kayiman, 1 Mackangdal, 1 Ogueve, 5 Damballa, and then dump the rest of my 7 points into Zombify? I’m really confused, please help me.

Take bokor3 first (last build). You can level easily to 100 with just pardoner buffs and a cafrisun set.

The recommended is to get a number of zombies of at most the maximum number you can explode with damballa.

Example: if you get damballa lvl 5, get zombify at most level 12.

That’s not a rule, though. You can get more zombies if you like having them to tank and deal a little bit of damage with ogouveve.

But since you will have nothing to heal the zombies with, don’t bother getting zombify too high up because you won’t be able to keep your zombies alive for long.

If you focus on effigy spam, you’ll waste a lot of SP very fast (esp in a SPR-less build). Be ready to get that glug glug glug achievement really soon in the game.

You’ll probably want as much INT as you can get. Your build will be 100% offensive with little to no support in parties for healing and buffs. How much CON you’ll get in the end depends to you, but 100 sounds fine (you might be a little squishy end game tho).

You might want to consider trading krivis C3 for PD for that pandemic + hex combo. Krivis C3 won’t give you much and PD will give you a nice heal, some pvp capabilities, and a good skill to spread hexing and make your life easier. But since you’ll only be getting krivis C3 at rank 7, you can decide if you want to switch to PD or not once you reach rank 7.

Rank 8 I have no idea because nothings released yet.

Tbh I’m mainly going Krivis 3 just for more zaibas damage and hits because of one of Taoist Priest’s charms that increase lightning damage by A TON! So it would be better to go PD at Rank 7 then?

Well you’re basing your whole build on assumptions. You assumed it increases damage by a ton, but what if it depends on a stat that you won’t have in your build (say, SPR)? What if it has a super long cooldown and a short duration?

What if the player that was doing that 22k zaibas damage actually has a 18k zaibas damage without the taoist buff? I mean, those are GM’s previews, they have have any amount of INT/gear they want. Those numbers are completely biased.

In my opinion, start with bokor c3 and build it like you were planning, if you reach rank 7 and the rank 8 classes aren’t released yet, then you can start wondering if it’ll be really worth it going krivis c3 or not.
