How practical is Dievdirby's statues in pvp?

It appears that the statues take a long time to carve. I haven’t played this game but in PVP, players usually don’t have the luxury to spend 4 seconds just standing there, and if they can be interrupted, they would be absolutely worthless… I’m just picturing the scenario in my head as I havn’t played. So has anyone tried this class in PVP?

u can use safety shield, or carve right after the game starts

you mean safety zone? good call

do the statues have HP or can they be destroyed?

They can be cancelled immediately by Oracle’s Counter Spell, for example.

or QS skill too 20…

It cast like 1.5 seconds now and you can’t get interrupted. It’s really good in 5 v 5 arenas and Guild Wars. It’s so so in the 2 v 2 arenas and it’s mostly useless in duels because you can simply wait it out…UNLESS you do this combo

1 - Carve Ausrine and do your jogging routine before the duel starts.

2 - Carve Laima Statue right next to person your dueling before or as soon the duel starts to apply slow (-20 movement speed) on a huge area.

3 - Carve Owl Statue x2,one behind the target and the other facing him/her.

4 - DPS him with wtv other offensive skills you got on your other classes.

  • Zaibas can land properly now because with slow you applied earlier

4 - For secure kill Carve World Tree near the target.

But dueling a PD or Oracle would make things harder for you because the slow will have no effect against a decent player. And QS can destroy them and Oracle can erase them.

I have checked on diev too, but statue carving seems… extremely situational.
Further issue is that you actually need items (wood) to cast off skills, so thats one more annoyance.
Mixed feelings. Even in the best case scenario, im having doubts about whether or not the provided buffs are strong enough to justify all the hassle and drawbacks.

Statues doesn’t have HP but they got number of hits they can withstand until they get destroy

The wood is so cheap that you feel a thing when you buy stacks of 500.Plus Owl Statues attack so much faster now compare to iCBT2.If you can’t stop the slow from Laima then your pretty much going to hate facing a Dievdirby.

Mmmm… whats the point of adding a gather skill then? I mean if you can buy all wood needed for it?
Well, never the less, the skill uses items. Thats a drawback. Such drawbacks are implemented on skills which have way too much potential, but i dont really see that here, or am i missing something?

cool. I think I’ll consider a more versatile build. I was interested in the statues because I mained shaman in WoW and they were like totems. I like the concept of statues but they seem a bit gimmicky at this point.

The Carve skill can make drop woods, and its a good skill for PvE (seems it hits 4 times each use).

If I remember correctly the most expensive wood is 20 silver and the cheapest one is 12 silver.

So 20x500 = 10 000 silver which is nothing LMAO

lmao
do u have a screenshot of priest/chaplain reagents? wonder how much those cost

I don’t personally like carve but it got synergy

Carve

[Physical] - [Pierce]
Attack the target by using a carving knife. Plant-type monsters take additional bonus damage and may drop statue materials.

Druid skill

Chortasmata
Grass temporarily grows on the targeted area. Monsters within the targeted area become Plant-type monsters.
