How much dex is enough to hit stuff in pve and pvp?
I think of just ignoring crit and focus on str for consistent damage. How much minimum dex do I need to hit highlevel mobs? I heard that you can even ignore dex and just get good gauntlets with high accuracy and that will be enough. Is this true?
Also, how much accuracy do you need to hit high-dex 280 archers in pvp?
since no one answering this question, i would like to know too

Actually, I find DEX more important to avoid archers attacks than to hit them. They are easily killable by Wizards if correctly cc’ed.
I read somewhere that 150 dex U hit everyvbody.
I am lv 224, 80 dex and i miss full dex build
I have 178 DEX (on screen) and I miss some archers and high dex dudes (some swordies). 150 DEX should be enough to hit most people but not everybody.
You need at least 250 dex or u wont able to hit any dex archer with leather set
I forgot to mention that I was wearing Roxona plate gauntlets with no gems. Basically, 150 DEX is enough. Get more accuracy from items and a Sissel if you want to deal with very high dex people.
DEX is irrelevant for PVE. Just get new gloves as you level and you should be able to hit everything just fine, even if it costs you some STR or DEX.
As for PVP, it’s either a high Dex ratio or bust when it comes to fighting archers or even other swordsmen. Otherwise, focus on pure STR and target wizards and clerics in TBL.
It probably depends how much evasion the other party has…
I mean if you got 500 accuracy and the other person has 1000 evasion I imagine you wouldn’t be able to hit very often. (don’t know the formula)
this apply to tos as well with physic attacks. missing 40% and upward is really painful to swordsman
not sure this formula is 100% accurate but it s the best we have:
(DE - AA) / (0.3605*DL +18.64) * (AL^0.335)
Where
DE = Defender’s Evasion
AA = Attacker’s Accuracy
DL = Defender’s Level
AL = Attacker’s Level
