I just wonder how this work in Tos? For example if u are lvl 8 cleric and u fight lvl 5 monster. You got already 800 hp and u hit like 50 damage. The monster dies suddenly after u hit him and he has not change to kill u even if u are only 3 level higher… Does the difficulty occurs when they attack u with mobs?? In Ro1 example the monster are much more difficulty to kill if u dont have enough potion or decent gears… In tos you are somehow overpowered even if u have shitty gears… Am I wrong?
In iCbt (max lv63) I felt everything was easy… even with cleric
you can solo anything with any class, you dont need party because bosses are dumb and slow…
people just make party to grind faster (low exp in iCbt)
Thats pretty bummer… It seems like those high gears has been created so u can grind faster and kill hard bosses… right?

They would really need to update the AI to be much more smarter and increase the movements speed and attack speed of monsters.
You are right. And this is another thing why ToS feels like all the others mmrpg garbage and it feels nothing like RO.
I can smell your sacrams from space but is this thing common in other mmo games? Ro is like only mmo game that I have played… So I dont have much of references…
I play archer in cbt and its not an easy ride for boss, especially those that cast magic.
Monster lvl only effecting exp you receive I guess.
want some challenge and difficulty? You guys should try to find area boss then that one is not for solo
What about normal mobs? Does this game have hard mobs?
Yeah we do get that bro
in every game the most hardest class to play would be mage and archers if you don’t know what you’re doing.
Mostly the best characters to start with is warrior because all they need is pots and because of the high hp pool.
We cant really tell because the game is still in CBT I dont know what the set up is if the exp rates and drop rates are low or high so we cant really tell until the official launch.
Can’t really rely on the youtube videos we don’t know if items would be harder to get in open beta.
Its all about the monster skills, right now we just have punching bags with the occasional skill shot which can be easily dodged once you know what to look for, we just need bosses to use more skills more often, preferably where the boss uses stronger skills as its hp gets lower.
From the videos ive seen dungeons pass level 100? Seems to be quite difficult in terms of the Bosses and their one/two shot mechanics and massive AoEs
Yes. It is common in other mmrpg. RO is unique and definitly will be.
Difficulty goes way up, from videos seen of players above 150+ and not to mention IMC stated max cap at release would be higher than 300, though for testing purposes, during this closed beta experience rates were slowed and as some players have pointed out from the map levels seem to go up to 500 maybe more. Per-say that Asian CBT players got to 200 and went up relatively quicker, i think stating that mobs at around the tutorial level of the game are too weak and can solo, doesn’t seem to make sense. Now if at 300, you were smacking things with relative weak gear and getting away with it, than it would seem like there would be an issue. Hopefully at second CBT we will see “Maybe” a higher level obtainable, higher experience and therefor be able to say hey things are too easy. but at this moment that doesn’t seem like something that needs to be changed, unless players are looking to have a game in which difficulty is set to hard from day one.
From what i’ve seen high level bosses (those around lv 200) are significantly harder, as they should be, i can understand why bosses early on are so easy, though i’ve yet to try the game myself, if the bosses were too hard early on it might’ve frustrated the more casual gamers instead. Im not saying they shouldnt be tweaked to be alittle bit harder, but making it something like a raid boss difficulty for the tutorial areas doesnt make much sense.
Also, monster attacks dont seem to be displayed like they are early on in later stages of the game, as an example:
You might be right…I dont mind if the difficulty occurs in later in the game… Also the low level areas monster are very easy like literally very easy. It should not be hardcore difficulty but normal would be fine. I really hope there is backtracking purpose for those old lvl areas.
I found this video… So it seems that the difficulty might occurs when these monster are agressive…
