the cleric build i just made will use 27 active skills. am i going to run into a limitation with how many skills i can put on my bars? or it lets you add as many as you need? all the youtube videos i see looks like you can only use 20 skills?
I didn’t even think of this one, bump for clarity.
There’s about 4 rows of hotkeys you can have on your quickslot when you’re using keyboard controls, which I believe is like this:
A ~ semicolon
Q ~ P
1 ~ 0
Shift + 1 ~ Shift + 0
I haven’t looked at the other controls as I either can’t use them, or I don’t enjoy using them.
40 the same for a joypad? also, are there aiming/directional issues on a joypad?
I played in iCBT1 with a 360 controller. It had a total of 20 slots on one set of hotbar space.
The layout was as follows:
Right Trigger + X/A/B/Y
Right Bumper + X/A/B/Y
Left Bumper + Right Bumper + X/A/B/Y
Left Bumper + X/A/B/Y
Left Trigger + X/A/B/Y
I am unsure if there was a key configuration to select a second hotbar, but if not at least you have 20 slots available.
As @Kiyoshiro stated earlier it seems keyboard has 40 slots, so im sure its the same for gamepad, you just need to switch between the two hotbars.
Also for @albert_patrick the gamepad settings are extremely relaxing and easy to use. they are smoother than a normal keyboard and you can execute certain combos easier. the only issue is the secondary input methods necessary as i explained above. (having to hold down a trigger or bumper to activate skills), but these shouldn’t be too much of a hindrance.
I was able to jump + attack twice as fast as anyone on a keyboard.
If you’re using keyboard refer to this:
As you can see, there is a + button on the lower left. I forgot how many bars you can keep on adding using that but so far these bars can accommodate up to 30 skills/items.
dang 27 active skills
what even is mp
He probably needs to stack up on spirit to cover for it or lotsa sp pots haha
some may be situational, some may be out of combat, some may have longer cds, and some may have long durations. these can make up for having so many active abilities.
Anyone know how viable is just taking all passive buff skills and auto attacking?
Well for starters, passive buffs don’t scale as much damage as most if not all skills do thanks to large skill damage numbers and attributes. On the other hand, I assume auto attacks scale more with stats and gear, or equally.
I would take a guess and say best would be finding the combination of weaving auto attacks and skills. Golden rule for sp would be same as golden rule of energy and mana: never be full so your regen isn’t wasted, and never be starved so you can use it when it’s needed.
It’s not viable at all.
