Is there a death penalty? Is it ever scary trying to get to new areas? Do you need to ask friends for help to get a lot done? These are some of the things that keep MMO’s engaging for me. Basically, the need to be smart and rely on friends you make (in which case you need to return the favors to keep those friends).
- Gems you get drop in dungeons when you die, also a huge decrease in durability, around 30%
- For some maps yes, see: main chamber lol
- Depends on your class or quest or what you want to do, but for dungeons definitely
Well that’s good to hear! How long does the decrease in durability last? until you get it repaired?
Yep, equipment durability lost in death or during combat can only be restored through repairs in town or squire repairs
You can solo to the current cap without much trouble excepted the instanced dungeons.
Depends on your class, if you play melee, you can solo pretty much everything. If you want challenge you can do quests/grind mobs 10 lvl higher & die pretty easily, but there isn’t really much of a point in it, except if you didn’t plan ahead & got stuck in the deadzone (no more quests & no good place to grind around your lvl). The game will basically become harder, but there’s no better reward, & it’ll feel like you’re being punished for making a novice mistake, which will take 2 more days to grind out of it, while the experienced players have already gone ahead to higher lvl.
However, everything will definitely be much faster with a small team (around 2-3 people), with a linker. a healer & 1 more dps to increase kill speed. Anymore than that will only lower your exp rate due to pt share penalty,
And even those can be soloed (full clear will take way too much time tho) by some classes.
