How important are attributes?

How important are they? I understand they should be taken account if you want to maximize your dps, but with attributes being so expensive and i’d rather save my silver to buy gear 1st. (poor as fck)

I wanted to get an idea of what i’m missing out on.

Could you deal insane dps and get away with no attributes?

When you do invest in them do you max them out?

Raise up to lvl 50 your main skills and max if u can the utility attributes if you are poor. In the future you can think on invest more.

most attributes are very important. if youre only talking about the “increase damage by .5%” then it shouldnt be priority

Like said, attribute are a good part of your damage.
It might seem small but 10% (20 level) is already a good dps increase but they are also 1 spell only.
At the end it up to you to judge if it better to invest into attribute or gear or other thing like card.
Also attribute become really expensive with more and more lv in it but the first 1-60 lv aren’t that bad.

Cost-efective wise it seems like level 70-80 its a good point to stop and 90 to 100 its the most expensive part of the ecuation.

Personally, Id say level 50-60 its very cheap when you are in range from 1 to 315.To be honest content from 1-240 its very easy untill you hit salus, but even there 50-60 seems to do just fine.

Once your start with trans you can save your money for that, or alternate by upgrading attribute while getting the shards you need.

Personally since i already have my 315 weapon, im starting to get them to level 80.

I wouldn’t sweat it, getting gear before/rather than investing in damage attributes is a financially better boost to your dps…

I would recommend getting to level 40 damage attribute on your main attack skills as a start whenever you can. A rank 8 class’s attack skill from 0-40 cost around 2.1m. Rank 5 skill 0-40 around 1.1m and Rank 3 0-40, 600k.

It is relatively cheap to get the 20%+ damage from skills in the lower ranks of attributes.

I made a new alt A2 QS3 Ro2 Ha1, the attributes from kneeling shot gives me 200 critical rate (in that stance) + 150 from swift step, so attributes are obviously useful depending on cost and after decent weapon and full leather blue 315 for stacking critical rate.

Utility attributes are absolutely mandatory and should be considered part of your build.

Enhance attributes are more important now that enhance is multiplicative instead of additive. I ended up having to reroll a character because I didn’t realize that instead of an attribute giving me 150% more damage on a skill, the skill was getting over 2000% extra damage between two separate damage attributes.

You’re gonna have to explain that situation a little more because…wat :V

On a new char i get all Attributes to lvl 30 thats cheap and enough for the start.

For example I play swordsman based classes. My original route was Sword 1 -> Pelt 1 - Hop 1 - Barb 3 - Dopple - Murm.

I took this route so I could get all the hard hitting AoE skills in the tree and mob quick and effectively, which it did. Unfortunately, Murm has attributes for its Cassis Crista that give +150% damage to Pelt/Hoplite/Rodolero skills. I thought this was additive, so those values would be less than my other hard hitting skills: Scism/Giant Swing/Cyclone (in total).

Turns out they are multiplicative, so a skill like Umbro Blow with High Guard (150%) and Cassis attribute (another 150%) would be doing over 2000% damage instead of like 860%. Even for the rodo/hoplite skills, that’s several cooldowns with about the same amount of damage as the ones I was using to mob on my other character, which warranted a reroll even though I prefered the hitboxes and style of the first one.
