How hard it is it

To keep a few main prime focuses to make this community happy? All this cash related stuff is really gonna put player’s on edge saying f this, honestly crashes an optimization’s still haven’t been fixed an that’s the main thing people are pissed out about aside from bot’s! Address what’s important for heaven’s sake Tos is a good game but it’d be better if Y’ALL LISTENED TO US!

Also maintence take’s a couple of hour’s anyway so why not have 8 hour’s or maybe even a full day maintence just to keep your guy’s player community happy? I’m sure you’d make more by doing that polishing your game with longer maintence’s I mean at least i’d think so anyway but i’m done ranting. =D

Actually the remaining community does want the cash items, because the rest had already left. What remains are those who cares about cash shop and not much else.

That’s kinda sad to see honestly, cause with those who left they would be able to give this game another chance also not to mention some of the server’s are pretty much dead anyway so theirs no fun in that until theirs a sever merge, an honestly I don’t know why they even made seperate sever’s when people should be able to play together peacefully anyway!.

As part of the remaining Community; you’re full of sh’t. I do like the items they’re adding to the cash shop, because I actually love the GAME itself. The ones that do care about the TP shop are the ones who want to see the game get bettter and support IMC.

Bots are not causing a huge dip to players leaving. Hell if that were the case WoW would have the same numbers as ToS. It’s just a lot more obvious in ToS then it is in; WoW or any other non-point and click MMO. Don’t believe me, feel free to google WoW BOTs and such.

FPS issues are indeed the deal breaker for a lot of players. A day would not be ample time to fix those issues. try more 6 months to a year as they would have to re-code the whole engine. Remember FFXIV? Yeah, they had to do nearly that as well. Considering SE makes IMC look like a garage company in both money and manpower it’s not possible. Hell, XIV went down for 3 Months (iirc) to change everything.

IMC was not expecting for ToS to have huge numbers. It’s not going to hold big numbers because 1: It’s a niche game in a small market. 2: Westerners specially want everything handed to them, and hate anything that has a grind.
Why do I say ToS wasn’t expecting large numbers? Remember when we had two servers? Or when IMC said they were not expecting such a huge outcome?

If IMC wants to increase it’s player-base all they need to do it advertise, as they are doing none of that. Fixes will come to the optimization, but as I said time and time again, in smaller doses which will help some, but not all.

Not so related to topic but while FFXIV remake was good in multiple aspects, the core gameplay became a wow-clone which I dropped the game after a couple months of playing.

I was really enjoying the pre-reborn gameplay actually (after they re-did a lot of the mechanics), it was pretty sad for me.

Oh I’m with you. I played XIV since Alpha version 1 all the way til last month. XIV to me was in a sweet spot when it all ended I thought. XIV is a great game and has huge fan service, but it did go the route of WoW. However, it’s also givin SE a great MMO that can keep up with WoW subs. (Albeit WoWs new expac that has boosted it’s numbers for a month or so.)

Yeah I started playing since alpha as well (or whatever the earliest possible time). I did stop for a few months due to it really being reptitive (since all you can do is go to a post and do quests and repeat everyday) but after Yoshida took over and did a bunch of changes, I re-subbed and enjoyed it.

I would say the last 6 months of version 1 was the best of FFXIV. It’s very sad to see remaking it into a wow-clone actually made the game more successful.

Although I think they didn’t really have to do a wow-clone since the remake itself was a huge advertisement already. All they needed was just a smoother gameplay and more content.

Can’t really say I disagree with you at all. Granted though, I don’t like WoW in the slightest. For many reasons. FFXIV to me; is a themepark done right. WoW, well… is and has been (after TBC) just a joke to pull in the masses.

I felt the same way about the game being just right at the end and was a little disgruntled when I saw how much they changed things. Like, literally everything. Theres a lot of pluses though as well. The game runs smooth on Ultra settings, and the game is absolutely beautiful. They also did extremely well on how Flying mounts control. I’m just over the Gear treadmill I suppose. shrug

I suppose I mean I play enjoy the game itself but like I said I wish they would primely focus on what’s important you know But I get were your coming from.

And that’s why WoW is so popular. Easy as ■■■■ game that throws everything at you, haha!

I love ToS! I’ve said it before… If you enjoy the game, keep playing it and have the most fun you can have with it! If you like stuff on the store, then buy a lil’ something! As simple as that! <3

That being said; yes, I do feel we need that optimization patch! We’ll get it someday!

Shop stuff? It’s easy and quick content to churn out. It’s just a single 3D artist with no real barriers or “bugs” he has to constantly solve problems for in order to do his work.

Optimisations and fixes for 5 different versions of a game are not.
